Javazon opinion: Power Strike or Valkyrie?

Hi guys...

I started a Javazon about 2-3 days ago, and now, she's 73...

I've maxed the following so far:

Lightning Fury
Charged Strike
Lightning Strike


I haven't done any of my skill questions in hell yet, so I would have 9 free points at the moment.



I don't know what skill I should go for next:

Should I start maxing Power Strike to pump up my CS damage? (And slightly pump up LF and LS) Or should I bounce my Valk level to ~ 17 to get a reliable tank? (I don't have any godly merc...)



What do you guys think?

Your Valkyre won't be that good even if she's a highlvl. IMO you should focus end rely on high dmg, which is pumping power strike. :thumbsup: Thats my oppinion.

How many plus skills do you have? And have you put any points into your Valk? My now naked (damn hackers) lvl 91 javazon has 10 in Valk and 10 in PS. I could have gone with about 5 or 6 into Valk and get up to lvl 17 valk. I do admit that my gear was great but you can get an extra 5-7 skills easily.

What gloves do you use? Do you have +2 jav or +2 passive?

For passives, I only have about +3... I have 1 point in Valk, which means it's lvl 4 now... I could get that to +5 all skills, but then I would love quite some resistances... :-\

I don't have + 2 jav gloves I'm currently using IK gloves with IK boots for the stats and ias bonuses... Haven't found any yet...

As for the Valk, I think she's a pretty good tank at higher levels, which is why I'm asking...

if you have a tank in your party then i would go for the extra damage...it's not that much more but it would make killing go faster.

That's not true. I've seen people make Guardian using nothing but a Valk and a Rogue Merc with a harmony bow. No weapons, no skills except for passives. Valks can be very powerful, and they're handy to have because you don't care if they die, so they'll go where player tanks don't dare tread.

Personally, I'm of the opinion that, even without the PS synergy, I won't have any trouble killing any non-LI enemies. I *will*, however, have trouble killing all LIs. As a result, I'd much rather pump my skills into something that will help me against LIs than into something that will help me with non-LIs. I'd either get my Valk to slvl 17 (after +skills), or I'd max it and let +skills crank her way up. Or I suppose I'd get her to slvl 17 and then synergize her with Decoy, D/A/E, and CS.

Another vote for valk, here. LF damage can already be high. Don't rely on the character screen for LF damage. Remember that each bolt carries damage, even wneh it bounces off wals, etc... Dont put anymore into lightning skills. 1% extra damage per point is laugable for a synergy. Put your points in valk or another skill that you can use on LI's.

Yes, I have a Mavina zon, with Valk maxed out, and I KNOW she tanks pretty well, and can actually do some damage.

I asked because I wasn't sure if the Javazon was any different. :)

My bowazon has a lvl28 valk (all rare equipment) and i know she IS strong. If she spawns with a black colored warpike and red colored armor she basically walks through most of hell except act4 (damn IM, my valk does so much damage that she kills herself with 1 hit ) or 5.
