... to say goodbye to d2 at least for a year or so

The thing is I'll be starting my third and final school year at a commercial school in Denmark (where I live btw). Actually I havent decided wether I'm going to quit d2 or keep playing it on a minimum basis. I'll probably wait untill 16th of August before I make my final desicion. Not sure how hard that last school year will be and I'm very interested in finishing with great grades..

However, I will be hanging around these forums because I enjoy reading threads about the game that has been my favorite ever since I tried it for the first time. When I first started out in this forum I read almost all threads

If I decide to put d2 on a hold, I'll post my items in the giveaway thread..

Thx very much for a great forum all.. I would really hate to leave this game.

Monzee, you do what you think is best for your grades and potential career. D2 will still be here in 9 or 10 months when you are graduated and may have time to play again. I think it is a good idea for anyone to give up gaming for the last year of school. But sometimes you may need a diversion. I remember when I was in college, we didn't really have video games so we went to the bar and then to hockey or basketball games.

If you decide to give away your stuff, go ahead and make your own thread.

GL with school!

Dacar's right Monzee. Take care of that last year first. You know D2 takes time, and always thinking about that next build and "what if..." . It's a big distracation. Finish with good grades, you'll never regret that. Pop in every now and then and say Hi. Good luck in real life.

You can easily freeze your accounts as long as you have some place where you can keep track of when you last refreshed them.
I use a thread on a private forum for this. quite handy, since you just post :
last refreshed these today :
*account1
*account2
*account3

And the time of posting will be what you want to look at.
just refresh them once every 2 months to be sure.
What I'm saying is, there is no need to give it all away just yet. I have kept my accounts alive for 2 years or so of not playing and when I started playing again I was very happy to have something to 'come home to'.

I seriously enjoy playing D2, but I can't play it while I'm at college or I'll spend the entire time playing. Plus, after spending 11 weeks studying and doing homework and such at school, I always look forward to playing D2 with a new perspective.

My cousin watches over my stuff while I'm away, and he knows better than to reveal passwords. You could entrust your D2 accounts to someone who'll take care of your accounts. You'd have to trust them a lot, though.
