Optimal EXP in earlyer Classic Versions ?

Hey guys. Just wondering what the mlvl should be to get optimal experiance. In 1.03 if that at all helps. Thanks

I've allways simply used the within 5 levels rule. Works for me.
Though in 1.03 that might be different, if you stay withing 5 mlevels (preferably the monsters being 1-4 levels higher) you should get good xp.

optimal experience doesnt come from killing one monster it is a question of monsters over time. So you should be looking for the biggest pay off for the skill your using.
E.g.
Area damage skill - you can get more exp if you kill lots of easy monsters quickly in an area that is full of them.

For skill that attacks only one monster at a time you should go for monster that gives alot of exp each but still die relatively easily.

so dont worry so much about getting optimal exp for each monster it is more exp per monster x number monsters per second.

Ahh ok. Well im level 25 (nearly 26) and in act 2 nm. I went cowing with a mate and he killed the king so thats out of the question :(. Should i just keep progressing thru nm until i get forb and just obliviate everything or should i run a certian area (Faster EXP) then oblivorate anything that i shal come accros ? Cheers

just look for games called cow with a number bigger than one sometimes these will actually be proper runs and not just ppl standing around saying "who opens cow" oh and if they are over 5 mins old forget it and try the next number e.g if it was "nm cows 06" try "nm cows 07" or even "nm cows 08" sometimes you can catch up to the ppl who are actually doing the killing.

edit - whoops i just released i have missed the point of this thread, you are not playing online but with old version 1.03, so disregard what i have said above :embarassed:

if you are lv 25 best to stay in normal and kill diablo over and over until you are 32+
