View Full Version : Khalim's eye is not in the spider cavern!?
I started a new character (Barb using maces) and I'm at Act III and Khalim's Eye is NOT in the chest in the spider cavern!? I'm playing v1.07 LOD. Has anyone else come upon this before? Anybody got any solutions?
I can't progress with this character until I get Khalim's Eye and I'm not sure what to do...when I first arrived in Kurast this time, there was no blacksmith (can't remember his name...). He just wasn't there. So I saved & exited and then restarted the program and he was there...but Khalim's Eye just won't appear!
Thanks in advance...

There are two caverns. One is the spider cavern and the other is the archid (spelling) cavern. Are you sure you got the right cavern? It should be in a sparkly chest southwest from the entrance to the cavern. The sorc repair guy (Hrattli? spelling again:rolleyes: ) doesn't go to his normal position sometimes til after you leave town and come back. I've had that happen to me many times. There is another explaination, are you useing a mod? I've heard of this happening also with the entrance to the flayer dungeon. Not saying you are, I'm just asking. Hope this helped.

Aha...I'll go check again. For some reason I couldn't remember there being two.
And yeah, I figured there was an explanation for the Hratli guy disappearing and reappearing. I'm not using a mod, btw, just the normal out-of-the-box edition.
Hey thanks! I'll let you know if that worked.

Just so you're aware, there's an easy way to tell them apart. The spider cavern has the waypoint near it, while the arachnid lair doesn't. If you examine the area around where you've been, and find a waypoint there, that's your problem.

You meant the other way around. The WP is near the Arachnid Lair and NOT near Spider Cavern.

That's entirely possible - I get the two mixed up easily, since I tend to visit both on my way through a3. All that really matters to me about them is that A) One has a waypoint, B) The other has an eye, and C) They're both full of web-spinning giant bugs.

All my previous years of single player has learned me a thing or two. :P
Yeah, thanks everyone...not sure how I forgot about there being two Spider Caverns (especially since one is called the Arachnid Lair and not "Spider Cavern"...heh). Guess I just wasn't looking properly. BTW, does anyone have a link to the upgrade to v.109? I've been told a few improvements were made, and I guess I should upgrade. I'm currently on LoD v.107.

The reason behind Hratli not being at the usual place, is because he comes and welcomes you to kurast when you come there the first time. So he stays at the docks hanging with meshif until you make a new game. He can repair your stuff from there without any tools so hes kinda handy. Im thinking hes packing a swiss army knife or something.

ok. i can find the arachnid lair, but not the spider cavern, any help please!?
Nice thread resurrection :)
Anyway, just search around in the Spider Forest. It will be there somewhere. The entrances to the special areas are some times pretty hard to find, but if you backtrack and look at the map a lot you should be able to locate them.

By all means, go to Blizzard's support page and get the 1.12 patch -- yes, 1.12 -- so you can play without having to have the CD in the drive. Quieter, faster, and much more elegant way to play.

Are you aware that you are answering to a 3 years old post? :whistling:
