Hi,

I have all the IK items, except for the armor. Now I am not that rich on ladder, I wondered (before trading for a to me expensive IK armor on EU L) will he with full set manage to survive in hell, or should I invest in other equip?

Definitely. My first char on Season 2 ladder was an IK barb. Basically, I just kept running Meph over and over with him to get items fast. The magic find that comes with the IK items is pretty good... and you can socket the helm and armor with Topaz to get more.

To solo throne & Baal, a decent merc to help tank would help a lot.

For PvP, it's not as effective as there's no shield and the dmg is low for a 2-handed weap.

ik will keep you alive, only watch out for the iron maiden casters ;)

IK Barb was the first char I made when coming back to diablo and he was very effective. He is awesome at key runs. Nithalek can get hairy if 50 archers spawn next to him. But he is pretty much invinsible except for Iron maiden and Throne Room. You see Doom Knights run.

I do only Barbs and I can tell you now that Ik set Items are great in Hell.
I have other items that work, Gladiatorsbane and such but by far when you can wear it do. All so, Almost all my Barbs use the gloves, belt and boots of the Ik set as I find/trade for them, I will have Ik or another armor and be able to swap from one helmet to another depending on the game. And i agree with kickzilla about the merc, without a good merc your build would have to verg on perfect. The Desert merc's tank as well as you do, give them a fast hitting weapon if possible.:wink3:

ik is awesome in hell.... i put topazes in all the sockets for the mf and shaels in the maul and the only thing that even comes close to killing me are OK's with iron maiden... you will rarely even need to drink a potion.

even souls in thw worldstone pose no problem, with your 200+ resist all and absorb :)
