I'm not sure if this falls under "statistics," but I've heard that it costs more to repair an item that is 'superior'. If this is the case, does anyone know how much more? I'm debating two different armors for Fortitude, so I don't want to get killed on repairs and end up unable to use it without grabbing everything I can to sell.

My (ex)13%ED Enigma duskshroud cost roughly 20-30x (20K+ per durability) than that of my non-superior Enigma duskshroud. (~1K per durability)

My 15ed/0dura CoH costs 32k gold per durability point.

Edit: It's a Wyrmhide; I think the type of armor might also make a difference.

Meh, more edits: use Ral runes for repairing armor, Orts for weapons. Cheaper.

As far as I know (though I'm nowhere near my notes), Enhanced durability/defense on superior armor is treated the same (or very similiar) as the enhanced magic affix cost that improves an armor's durability/defense.

Also (again, going from memory), since the cost to repair an armor is based both on it's current durability out of it's max durability (which enhanced durability would increase) as well as current defense out of max defense (which enhanced defense would increase), the cost could be quite abit more than a normal armor.

I would need to check my notes when I get home this afternoon to confirm this though, as it's been awhile.

Superior weapons with even only +1 attack rating are FAR FAR more expensive to repair than non superior ones. Superior somehow seems to be designer items or something... not just normal "IKEA" stuff.

Yeah, to repair Sup items cost A LOT more than normal.

For example I have 2 Chaos claws, one sup other normal, so full repair of superior Chaos cost me over 2M gold :shocked: when full repair of normal Choas cost only ~120k gold. It is huge difference. This is one reasons why I dont make anymore runewords in superior items if I realy dont need it.

IMO you should only make RW is superior items if the RW gives indestructible, like BOTD, Death and Oath.

Ofc, but try to find eth Sup BA axe first.

Someone already mentioned this.

Ral = Armor
Ort = Weapon

Use these runes to repair your SUP equipment.

That's all there is to it.

agreed, my druid uses a superior enigma and i just wait for it to go down to 1 durability then use the ral to repair it back again, saves a few million gold.

I thought you could also repair with the rune when the armor is at 0 durability. So that saves you 1 rune / max dura for your armor...

I personally do not like the idea of my armor breaking when I'm playing, be it PvM or PvP. Especially if I'm relying on strength from said armor to equip other stuff.

In pvp, if you use a stash intensive build (ie bvc) you will not have the space for that.

well then use the rune when the armour indicator goes orange. yes you can repair armours when they have 0 durability left but it's a bit annoying having your armour breaking in the middle of something.

You can solve that problem by not entering duels with nearly broken equipment and out of duels, you probably won't have a stash problem.
