View Full Version : Slow/freezes target boss bug?

My wolf's (SP) merc uses an eth 67 def excep cap, eth Iceblink (freezes target +1) and an eth Kelpie Snare (slows target 75%) I've done a search, but couldn't find any info on this, so sorry if I missed something.
While fighting NM Baal, he appeared to not be 'able' to do anything. (hit recovery/block?) He (obviously) was moving extremely slow, but almost every time he tried to cast something/attack, it appeared as if he was put in hit recovery (possibly block?) and couldn't cast. Is it a possible bug that bosses when using freezes target and slows target that a boss can be put in this state, or is it just one slowing mod that does this, giving me much more opportunity to put him into a slow blocking animation.
I'd imagine that hell Baal would be a longish battle, but with him unable to retaliate, it'd be an easy one.
If wanted, I could record this hit recovery and post it somewhere. I'll also be testing it on other bosses.
Thinking now, it's probably just a very slow block animation, and an easy way to beat bosses. Can anyone confirm this?

This is a known issue. Baal has a special AI that lets him decide on his next action while still in his last action. 5 frames into an attack it might decide on it's next attack to occur in 6 more frames (after the first attack is done). When he is slowed, his AI is still working at it's normal speed, so 5 frames into the attack, it decides on another attack to do in another 6 frames, but because of the slow, the first attack animation is still playing when he's trying to attack again. Problems result and he ends up sitting around doing nothing most of the time. When he does attack, it's often interrupted by his own AI.
