Another question about rerolling, this time its nec shields for lvl 30

Im a dedicated LLD-player and my new project is a lvl30 nec, since I really dont want to use the standard 3 spear/spirit rhyme I´m currently looking for a 2/2-3 spear or spirit nec head with 30/20 mod ( aint that picky, a 2/3 is good too :azn: ) Since the chance of these shield droping is very slim I though I could reroll some magic and rare nec heads to increase my chances. ( I got plenty of pgems from my JMOD savings so thats not a big problem ).

Now I wonder what ilvl should i reroll for the chance of 2 pnb and 30/20 mod on a magic head with chance of getting spirit or spear too. Also wonder what level on my rare head I should use for the 6 pskull formula. Looked around but cant find a simple answer how the level decreases and were it stops. If it helps I will reroll with a level 94 char.

What is 30/20 mod?

You need as low level magic head as possible to cube, because they cannot have high level suffixes = more chances.
"of Deflecting" is level 11 suffix. Alvl=ilvl – qlvl/2.

To have Bone Spirit you must use level 37+ heads.

Lets assume an Unraveller Head (qlvl=16), dropped by Greater Hell Spawn (mlvl=41) in WSK. It will have level 33 affixes (or less), and Tier 3-6 skills. Just reroll it until you find what suits you.

Rare cubing is trickier. After 5+ re-rolls any high level rare item stabilize at about 0.66 of your level. Since you need item level 37, you should use level 56+ character. You may use any rare head found in hell for this, just don’t use elite heads, since they have too high level requirements.

There was some things I didnt really get, did you count the 2 poison and bone skilltab in your calcs with the magic head? I´m sure you did but just want to be sure. When refering to the "use level 37+ heads" you´re meaning the ilvl on them right?

Oh! I forgot about it. :P

+2 skilltab is level 40 prefix. So you need ItemLevel=40+qlvl/2 to get it. 48 for unraveller head. It means 48+ item level magic unraveller head and 48/.66=73 character for rare cubing.

I sux at math and doesnt understand the formula so whats the level required for a demon head?

White Demon Head has quality level 24 and character level 18 required.
Affix Level = Item Level – Quality Level / 2

Item Level = Affix Level + Quality Level / 2 = 40 + 12 = 52 or more for Demon Heads.
