I recently found a lvl 42 req. +2sorc +205FCR +3blizz, +2Lighing +1fire wall orb.

Thinking of making a lvl 42 to kill nightmare/even hell pvp games. Any suggested gear choice? ES?

I think when i used seras it had around 5k blizz? somewhere around there. it owned nm pubs ;)

What is another shield choice? I think I might stick with 42. Other then that, I might use those equips you suggested as I have most of them.

Is Whitsan or Visc viable? If so which one is better. I think I will go with 105% FCR (or should I stick with 63) and max block probably.

Every LLD and MLD sorc I've seen used Visceratuant.
I don't know if the block is comparable, but you do get the skill.

Maybe you could get an upgraded Visc, which would have a higher block.

My lvl 49 uses Tower Sanc. It's dead sexy.

105 FCR, 142 FHR, ~800 life, ~550 mana, 4K blizz, 200 CM, 3 perf facets.

I love her.

Just don't make an orb sorc -- most melee chars use string of ears and oath, which can provide up to 45 magic damage reduction (or 75 for barbs w/ 2 oaths), and if they are max cold after your mastery, you will do zero damage to them with an ~800 dmg orb.

Since your character is still relatively low, I don't think you'll need an insane amount of dexterity like the higher duelers do.

If you choose to use Sanc tshield or facet shield, even better.

I would go with max block. Most of the MLDers that I've seen are paladins or barbs, and you can completely negate their attacks 75% of the time just by having max block.

You need Max block yes. Versus good bowa's it's hard even without MB.

You can use 2 sojs and still hit 105 fcr.

Viscertaunt is the best shield choice here.

Good dupes boots with fhr/stat/res are best.

Damage isn't everything. A sorc is fragile as hell. Better be a bit defensive.
