Are Smiters?

I am a very loyal paladin and just recently created a smiter but i cant get over how he is! i have followed the stratergies exactly and he is pretty well equiped he is now lvl 37 and is just into nm and is getting pwned! i am thinking of creating a new one or even a hammeridan, so my question is should i stick with him will he get better at higher lvls? should i create a new char?
here are his skills:
Smite:23
Fanatism:5
Holy Shield:7

this is with bonuses from items! so have i stuffed im or wat?????

no they are not What you should do is go back to doing some norm baal runs until lvl 45 (or higher) and put those pts into Holy Shield. The reason you are doing crappily is because your smite base damage is to low - Holy shield will raise that.

Also, i think the lvl req for Guil's Face is 37 so get yourself one of those and some goblintoes for the CB.

1) max zeal
2) max fana
3) max holy shield
4) max smite

rest prereqs, 1 pt wonders and sacrifice synergy.

In that order. Zeal with fana even without sacrifice bonus is awesome all the way to the end of NM while smite will be rocking by time you reach hell.

This will produce a smealot, not a smiter.
