Ok, So I wanted to play Diablo II again and finally found the discs+Expansion.
I installed the game, everything goes right (Full install). I updated to 1.11b and started the game, and then I got an error message of the "Insert play disc to drive" type. Ok, thats wierd, So i just downloaded A No-Cd crack (hoping it will work, since my cds dont seem intent on it), and pasted it in the game directory, Overwriting Game.exe. I start the game, everything goes normally (it displays the diablo II movie instead of the expansion movie but I don't think thats of any concern), And then it gets to the splash screen (the one with the assasin and druid and wolfie). I click for the main menu to load, and BOOM! Error message:
"Halt
Location : ,Line #94
Expression : Unrecoverable internal error 6ff2f229".
The hell?
I tried using some other cracks but they kept giving me the same type of Error message, But the line and expression change.
If anyone had this problem, I would REALLY like some help please :(
Oh and i Reinstalled about 4 times, nothing.

This forum is very much anti-hack, anti-third party. Perhaps you should read the rules that came up when you were creating an account. We are allowed to discuss the morality of 3rd party programs, but we AREN'T allowed to discuss where to get them, which ones are good/which ones work, or how to fix errors that come up as a result of them.

There's a strong chance your error is coming up as a result of the hack you're using. As for the "insert play CD" error, that I don't know about - perhaps someone else can help you with that.

::Edit:: Helpful link - The Rules. (http://forums.diabloii.net/rules/) Note #5.

I alredy indicated that I have my original discs. The fact that they don't appear to be in the CD drive (even though they do), is strange. Original CDs dont do that. I tried a crack as a last resort. I don't use 3rd party programs usually, but I really want to play the game.

Then your disks are probably damaged and need to be replaced. The fact that you say you have your original disks (Not that I don't believe you, but as you know, this isn't exactly something we can come and check) is a moot point; There is no excuse for using a hack. You won't recieve any more replies here from me, you won't recieve any help on using your hack, and if you pursue this further, you may end up drawing the attention of the mods - I suggest you avoid that.

hi everyone

i have a solution for that error (at least it worked on my pc)

First create a new account on windows and then try to run the game on this account. That's all :-) (no idea about what is the difference between accounts)

Major reasoning flaws in this statement. You didn't try asking us for help when you received a 'CD not present' response, something we deal with a lot, so that's not the last resort you make it out to be.

Also, if you successfully installed the game, the CDs aren't necessarily damaged. The problem is usually the operating system and the installation, itself.
