How come those oblivion nights, those things that shoot bolts or whatever always kill me in one hit? I can't do chaos because of them, they always kill my zealot, I use the 1pt smiter, heres my gear:

guillaumes with 15ias 15rez jewel
grief
eth exile with 45 rez
Fort armor
P maras
gores
dungos
dracs
ptorch
anni

My rez are 80, 80 , 80, 75 and def with holy shield(which is maxed) is 27k or so, chance to block is 74%. I dont know how those things kill me with one hit but they do, I even have bod a couple times before going(life is 2k after bo, 1.4k before) and they still kill me pretty easily.

Btw, I'm level 87.

Anyway its a curse called iron maiden and when ever you hit them phisically, you will take your own dmg also.

indeed, you get cursed with iron maiden, a spell that return dmg to yourself
and since you have quite high dmg, you can/will die in one hit

Some people keep ranged/throwing weapons on their character to deal with Oblivion Knights. I'm too lazy transfer bows onto my characters, so I suggest you use the Cleansing aura when you have the Iron Maiden curse on you, don't hit anything, as you will kill yourself, and wait for the curse to pass. If there is only one Oblivion Knight around, I usually charge it into a wall, then smite it to death. If there are more than one, you can trying using charge to "pull" on away from the group and then kill it when you far enough away. I do not suggest this on HC, but it works well enough for me.

Nah i dont ebay items, I just do lots of ubers, thats all.

Oh and having a bow or anything like that is not an option, so I should just wait for the curse to go away huh?

OH, I noticed the curst looks just like life tap, how do I know its not lifetap now lol

I don't mean to be rude, but with your gear and all, shouldn't you atleast know that those mobs cast Iron Maiden, and how Iron Maiden looks like?

I would describe IM as red/orange darts/slivers that swoop above you darting into your head...

You know, not everyone plays through Chaos Sanctuary themselves. He most likely got rushed and never hit anything while iron maiden was cast on him.

Yeah, I never do chaos runs, I was rushing someone and this hapenned, I had done a few rushes before, but I used my zon.

I always thought of Iron Maiden as "The writhing yellow/orange cranial worms of death". Ranged weapon applied lovingly to the OK and then dust up their assitants with melee.....
