how do you fight with your meterorb, for some reason i like casting frozen orb better then metor, i think thats the wrong way to do things right? how do you kill areas full of monsters waiting for that metor to land though? or do you just tele to bosses and be done with it?
thanks

I was never a big fan of metoer. It has is uses - moat trick for meph, when your merc is tanking a monster, baal's minions. Most people find that they use fireball more as their end game attack.
I use my meteorber against packs of monsters like this:
1. Cast FO to chill them, brings their life down a litle bit.
2. Cast meteor, in the path where the monsters are going to walk.
3. Spam fireballs.
4. Repeat until every monster is dead.
Against Mephisto/Baal/Diablo/Andy:
1. Teleport on top of boss.
2. Static him to half of his hitpoints.
3. Take a few steps back, and spam a mix of fireballs, meteors and frozen orbs.
4. Colect the l33t itamz
I usualy use 9k damage fireball, but i never forget meteor. You just need to know your timing
Meteor is hardly the ideal spell for fast moving targets.
For monster packs, fireball/FO is usually the way to go. Fireball everything that isnt fire immune, and just throw an orb in when you do see a FI.
I personally save Meteor for superuniques (Meph, Baal, Shenk, Eld come to mind). I let my HF merc tank, hold down left click for fireball and right click meteor whenever i see it become available.
The best way to aim meteor is teleport to the spot where you're going to land it (to position your merc), step back, then cast meteor immediatly on top of your merc.
In my opinion, usefulness of meteor depends on the players skill. You need to know your timing really well. The universal tactic is a mix of fireballs. FO's and meteors.
