Shadow Question

This is wierd, I'm playing down past the Halls of Pain trying to get Nilithak when suddenly a half a dozen of those dragon heads that breath fire balls come out. It was to fast to really see what was going on but it looked like my Shadow was casting those. Can that be?? IRRC they were attacking the enemy. Never seen that before. :confused2:

never heard of the assasin shadow casting anything but traps but it could be possible that she spawned with an item with a % to cast fireball on it, since she spawns with random items every time shes made

Wow, that must be it. I'd heard of the "random gear" feature on the Shadow but I'd never thought that it could manifest like that. That's pretty intracate.

Wonder what the limits on that are? Could she spawn a dream?? :idea:

Can only spawn with rare items. Your shadow apparently got a CtC Hydra on striking or attack?

Maybe she mindblasted+converted some enemy succubi and they helped you out

My shadow always spawns with a Chance to Cast meteor on striking. And i think she's had ctc chain lightning and nados.
Like fungus stated.. this time she had ctc hydra on striking or being struck.
It would be interesting to see what range of ctc skills can occur.

I have a feeling that the CtC meteor is actually the shadow using Phoenix Strike... just a thought. That would be quite handy though, if they would curse things on a regular basis... would make life so much easier.

Everything that can spawn on a magical/rare claw, helm, ammy, or armor. Hydras are the most unusual because "of the Hydra Shield" (cast Hydra on being struck) can only spawn on the ammy slot. The only ones that are of any real use are Amp on striking and Frost Nova on being struck.

That would be cool. Which item cast the hydra? Hell Witches don't cast hydra. There must be a block on the curses then becuase I have never seen her cast any kind of curse and there are more than a few things that have CtC "Curse" on them.

"of Hydra Shield" spawns on ammys.

The only real "curse" that can spawn as a CtC on magic / rare equipment is Amp on Striking on the claw, and yeah, it works fine for Shadows.

The Flee! mods are technically curses as well, and those also can spawn on Shadows.

Thx you're right I have seen the Flee a lot. It would be nice to see the Amp pop up more ofter though
