What is the reason for using shadow skillers over max/ar/life or life/ar sc's? Is it primarily to boast weapon block and venom? And does it really give a huge advantage over a bunch of max/ar/life or life/ar sc's?
Thanks for any input in advance.

Venom is a special skill that makes the ww sin unique from a barb. Because ww isn't something that you can really develope the %enhanced physical dmg, that well, then you'd focus on venom. Venom decimates chars w/ skill shields e.g. bone armor, energy shield, cyclone armor. Most characters focus on boosting light and fire res, and often neglect poison because it's duration is soooo long. Well as you know venom is 0.4 secs duration, which makes it basically like any other form of dmg. Venom also gets a boost a skill casting as well as striking from % increase to psn skill gear.
Also some of the shadow disciplines are passive skills and skill gcs affect their total lvl, unlike active skills that have to be selected to function. Because of this you can almost max out the useful potetial of a skill w/o puttin more than 1 pt in it....for example claw block which plateau's in effect at 60% blocking which happens at lvl 23 (i think:scratch: ). Well if you have 9 gc's, 2 sin helm, 2 armor, 1 belt, 2 ammy, 2 shdw dancer boots, 4 torch/anni your at lvl 22 and with your 1 pt investment you're there. Burst of Speed, fade, SM, MB all become extremely effective skills w/ this 22 pt bonus. With that said, you can then focus on a secondary attack like dtalon/dflight or traps.
Sry for the drawn out explanation....
Hope that helps.
