Connecting to fastest server

I tried to start up Diablo on my Emachines computer. For some reason, it continues to say that it is connecting to the fastest server... and is stuck there. Could anyone please help me out on this matter?

Edit: It just said that I am unable to connect to battle.net.

Something to do with your internet/ firewall?

Restart your computer a couple times, that's always fixed it for me.
