viable with infinity scythe

trying to decide on which build to try for pvp with my infinity scythe

i frown away from the light sorc since facets are so expensive, im leaning towards fire sorc, but i dont kno how im going to reach the necessary damage for pvp.

before you rule out lightning remember that infinity gives -45-55 enemy light res...that equals quite alot of facets...

but that only works for the merc (unless you are holding the infinity). Conviction is an aura that is applied to all monsters within range, the -% light resist is applied to the weapon holder and only works for their damage.

I used the runework obsidion early on for my merc, but the -% fire resist didn't help me at all. However the reneword also casts enchant on the merc, and then the -% fire resist helped him a lot.

Having said that, I still like the metoerb buid, except max the skills for fireball instead of meteor. Fireball + Frozen orb = great mix. My merc can easily kill the few monsters that are both fire and cold immune (he can 1 hit the countess).

I think the op is wielding the runeword himself, hence use of a scythe. I'd go with lightning skills :)

blah lightning is expensive because of griffons /w facet amounts to ~10hrs for a decent one =p

i've made an infinity fb sorc, and the benefits are incredible power. The problem is that when someone slaps on a wizspike, alot of that - resistance is nullified. Your best bet is a light sorc because the stacked - res from infinity alone breaks past a 90 res wizspike (15 res jewel). But if you wanna put that infinity to good use, fb would still be quite nice. Plus aura sorcs are sexy. :)

edit: oh, and don't make a cold sorc. no point in adding more - res when cold res is already subtracting so much. cold sorc gear should be based on +% damage, not - enemy res.

You don't absolutely need Griffons.
A 20 FCR 2 skill sorc helmet works.
