I've been playing on battle.net and I don't have quest three(with horadric cube). What to do?

1. find cube in act2
2. find someone with cube, transmute staff and ammy, finish act2. go to act three, kill high council in travincial and one of them will drop cube.

No, high council is in act 3 travnical, you need someone else who will help you finish act 2 and the almost end of three where you get to travnical. and kill the 3 high council members and one of them will drop the horadic cube. OR you can just go to the halls of the dead in act 2 dry hills.

yeap, some people are giving cubes to mules, doing travincial with someone who needs quest and getting another cube

It sounds like you're in Act 2. In Act 2, you get the Cube from a gold chest in the Halls of the Dead Level 3. The entranceway to the Halls of the Dead is in the Dry Hills (through the Rocky Waste).

Once you get the cube, you need the Horadric Staff and the Amulet of the Viper. The Staff is found in the Maggot Level 3 under the Far Oasis (through the Dry Hills) and the Amulet is found in the Claw Viper Temple Level 2 under the Valley of the Snakes (through the Lost City through the Far Oasis).

Once you have the Amulet, talk to drognon. After that, you can enter the palace (in town). The rest of Act 2 is pretty linear.

I have the cube and I got into Maggot's Lair but there's no staff. Is it because other players killedDuriel and opened act three for me too?
I am in act 2.
Completed quests:
1.
2. I didn't complete it somebody else did...
3. It's black and I can't see even the message that the quest has been completed(answer me why is that)
6. Somebody else killed bastard Duriel...

The only quest I didn't complete is quest 4.

The only quest I didn't complete is quest 4.
First, you can edit your posts for up to an hour. Posting consecutively is against the rules and frowned upon.

That out of the way,

If you can go to Act 3, then you will not be able to find the staff or amulet in a single player game and you would not be able to pick up either even if they do drop for you.

You might want to try going to the Arcane Sanctuary (either through the Palace or directly by the Waypoint). From there, find and kill the Summoner. Read the book next to him (the thing you can click on) and return to town. Talk to the townsfolk once you have done this. Fara, Drognan, Meshif, and whatever the guy by the palace's name is.

You should also try smashing the Altar of the Snakes. It is in the Claw Viper Temple level 2. Talk to Drognan when it is done.

If that doesn't work, then try joining a multiplayer game where people are going through Act 2. You might receive the quests as other players complete them.

I went to the maggot's lair and found the staff bu I couldn't pick it up. So it seems that computer thinks that I have it but I don't or I can't take it because I already have access to act 3 Kurast Docks. Quests in act 2 that are available for me now are changed . Following quests are opened now:3,4.
What the heck is all this? There wasn't so many bugs when I played on a single player. I'm planning to leave this **** alone if you don't give me an advice. I'll just complete the remaining quests in act 2 and start dealing with act 3. I'm a barb so I don't need the staff anyway. It's purpose is to open a gate to act 3 and I already have that so there shouldn't be any problem...I think... What do you think I should do?

What do you think I should do?Either follow my suggestions or move on. You can never keep the staff past act 2 anyway, and there are no bonuses for the other quests. You can continue the game with no ill effects.

Will I get another staff on noghtmare.
I can't enter arcane sanctuary without it.

You will get another staff once you hit Act 2 in Nightmare. And a third staff when you hit Act 2 in Hell.
