Anya 'scammed' me?

Hi,

Recently, I have completed the Anya Hell quest with my lvl 83 Necro...

But something awful happened...

We were peacefully slaughtering the Frozen River, when the moment we reached Anya, our game was struck with massiv lag. The Ping hopped from 94 to the 2ks.

I tp'ed to town, talked to Malah, got the potion, got down, but couldn't talk to Anya!

So I dropped the pot, and another player took it and gave it to Anya, free'ing her.

Then, bad stuff happened.

I talk to Malah, nothing happens - it leads me to the usual "Talk, Trade, Cancel" bubble. I wait a little more, seeing Anya in town from her TP, I talk to Malah again, the same "Talk, Trade, Cancel" bubble appears. I check my quest log, the fire burns the icon out (signaling the quest is completed) and it says "You have completed this quest in a previous game."

I DID NOT get any res scrolls.

I run to Anya, it's the same "Talk, Trade, Gamble, Cancel" screen, and she doesn't give me any items.

I was SURE that I didn't complete the quest before, because I picked up the potion, and that quest wasn't done when the game started...

Wow, that is odd.... Can't say that I've ever seen that happen before...

I suggest you create a new game on your own and check the status of the quest there. It has happened to me before, although very rarely, where it gives false completion of quest, but when I create a new game, the quest is still there to complete again. Either that, or in the new game, you talk to Malah and she gives you the scroll.

Once, I did not get the scroll and it said that i completed the quest. SO I made a new game and it still said it didnt complete. But I tried the quest again and i got the scroll :D.

Also, try going and speaking to Malah, click on "talk", and select her 'prison of ice' speil. I've had to do that once before.

Make sure there's enough room in your inventory, so you don't get the same message over and over (It took me an hour to find out my game wasn't glitching)

You can get the potion from malah even if you have completed the quest in a previous game, as long as the creator of the game hasnt done the quest yet.
Remove all ur armour and check ur base resists to see if you've done the quest already.

This happened to me with Diablo once. I was helping some people with the Diablo quest in Nightmare difficulty. I brought in my Bone Necro to weaken him. I got his life down to about 5% and asked the Amazon (next most powerful character in the game) to please wait for me to return with another char so I can get quest.

I get back, and the other people there are apologizing. (That is, of course the 'zon killed Diablo. -.- ) I got the quest, but I could not go through the portal to Harrogath. Sure enough, I make a new game and I really did not get the quest after all. This is the first time it has happened to me.
