PVP Assasin?

Hi. I haven't played much in recent years. I used to play in 1.09 when Burrizazons with cleglaws slow gloves ruled the pvp world. I hated it so much I made an anti-zon assassin dueler who rocked. Is the assassin still a competent dueler and what are the current hot skills/equipment? I loved how fast she was with Burst, cats eye and fast run charms. Does the Lightning trap/mindblast stun still work? I recently found nats claw and bartucs... are they still decent weapons? Anyway the real question is how do I make a rockin' assasin dueler?

As for assa builds, wait for WizAdept, Happyassassin, or Arbedark to show up. They are supposedly the experts of pvp assassin builds.

Isshy, I just finished a whirlwind/trapper hybrid which is a fairly rare build or at least you'll only see 1 or 2 in full day dueling vs. 1 or 2 trappers in each game. Kickers are nice but I have never been a big fan of dtalon other than in pvm. Of course a gg smiter or ww barb is a very tricky duel, overall she does really well against all chars. It requires some high $$ equip like nigma, chaos, fury, etc. so keep that in mind b4 you start. It also requires alot of fast skill changes and tricky manuevering which imo makes for much more fun. I'm sure you can find some good guide info under the builds thread.

sech, how many HRs did your sin cost approximately?
and do you think a ww/trapper or a kicksin like wizadepts could beat a godly orber(COUGHseraCOUGH) and if the kicksin could, how much do you guys think it would cost? also sechler, what guide did you use if you used one?

Wow that's a good question tuxor, over this ladder i have made 6 sins, most of 'em being tests/experiments. In hrs.. i'd say....not including low cost items...

OK I did this real fast so don't critique it plz... 39 High Runes.... wow that's more than i thought, i feel sick :upset:
Now i have a whole sleugh of items in my stash as well, but mostly stuff like tgods, kiras, widow, snowclash, misc res gear... nothing too significant.
Although, I'm sure this could've been done for cheaper, tuxor.

This is my first ww/trapper, but i had most of the gear prior to starting so I could plan her out well. I read over a few of the guides (Voides, Speeder's, Happy's), then planned out my skills for lvl 88 (where i usually lose interest in baal). There's some good skill planners out there to check dmgs and skill usefullness... sry don't have a link.
Rough skill break down was...
1 pt in all shadow disc (except where i had coverage from claws, SM,MB,BSh)
20 venom
20 claw mastery (wish i would've gone less)
20 death sentry
20 light sentry
10 roughly in shock web (puttin remaining pts here)

does anyone happen to know how much a good kicker like the one in those videos of wizadepts costs? also, which is better performance wise vs. your run of the mill pub duelers(smite,orb sorcs,trappers,bvcs,etc.)???

Tuxor, a decent pvp kicker set up is gonna cost around the same. Although w/ a whirlwind or kicker build you can easily spend double that for some truely gg gear, that is real impressive to look at. But, the real difference is made on skill and ability when it comes to a melee sin like this.
I dueled a pure ww sin last night with my ww/trap hybrid and whipped her butt. She couldn't understand it. She was wearing a 49 bramb, had a sick chaos/fury, nice coa, etc, etc. and she made fun of me wearing bp nigma and using fast cast gear. Everytime she blinked i was hittin her w/ a mb/tele/whirl. When I got bored i started playin more aggressive traps at her feet, and I kept moving so fast around her it was pointless. (I'm sooo glad I went w/ nigma over dflight/bramble set up.) From my experience (which is very limited still w/ a sin), I'd say ww would be better universally. Dtalon is really good when locking up a sorc, but it's so nice when you miss your target with tele/ww and you stay protected as your ww away or into your opponent safely.

I'm just amazed that people can get 49 bramble near perfect CoA and still don't know how to deal with stunlocking.
