Baal Tele Troubles...

Ok, I did some searching around the forums and while I found some things, none of it really helped me. To start, basically I just came back to playing the game after almost a year break and have no gear and never played a sorc, but I decided to make one for MF"ing espically since I am just coming back.

Anyway I'm now level 30, have no real decent gear yet, and am doing baal runs, problem is EVERYONE demands that I tele, and I do have the skill, but I can never ever make my way through to the throne. Either I get lost, or i get mobbed by a bunch of monsters, or I run out of mana at the most in-opportune time. I have around 200 mana right now so I have to suck down Super Mana Potions to keep me going.

Now I always Tele to the right with the map on so it uncovers as I go, problem is I just can never seem to make it far enough to find the throne and its VERY frustrating espically since I feel that part of my job as a sorc IS to tele to baal if I'm capable. I think I should be capable but it seems not.

Anyways I would REALLY appreciate ANY advice yall can give. I'm just sick of dying and people *****ing at me and leaving the game. Or when I ask for gold for Pots cause I cant afford to buy them, they just laugh at me or call me noob. Also keep in mind that I dont have access to any "strong" gear and dont have any friends yet to help me so.

I had teh same problem with my sorc, and really the only thing I used to fix it was the Insight runeword. Just found a low 4 socket polearm and gave it to an act 2 merc. Its still kinda hard in the beginning but after awhile i barely even used pots

if it solves all problems? No. But mana problems? yes. On other parts get yourself some fcr, normal baal shouldn't be a problem if you get 65 fcr (spirit sword+magefist+fcr ring(s))

Spirit Sword? I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to get these items as I have absolutely nothing of value for trading.

Ya not a problme getting Tal/Ort but Thul and Amn are quite pricey as far as I understand, I'm on US. West.

Anyone on west who's feeling like giving him these "pricey" runes free? Otherwise just hope for some luck, they arn't rare :smiley:

Yeah, more FCR (faster cast rate) helps a lot. If you get above 63, most monsters won't be able to hit you before you teleport again. Sorc FCR breakpoints are 9,20,37,63,105,200. 105 isn't really necessary for PvM, so just try to break 63.

For runes (for Spirit) and gold (pick up body armors that sell for a lot and sell them in town), try cow runs. You could also run Meph some (although probably want to wait until nightmare for him to start dropping better items) and trade for what you need.

Well some good news, I did a few cow runs, and baal runs, between them both I got all the "non semi-rare" runes that I needed for Spirit/Insp. And after the burial grounds I ended up getting the Sol/Amn needed so now i'm just tyring to trade for the Thul that I need.
