mercenary for barbarian

yeah..i am making a barb so i don't know what mercenary should i use :act1 merc or act2 merc: i like more act1 merc cauz she isn't affected by the iron maiden..but the act2 has aura:hmm..can you tell me which is better? btw:can you tell me all the act2 mercenary's auras?and in which difficulty?from combat defensive and offensive..please:flowers:

Normally i go for an act2 merc, but for my barbarian only, i use an act3 merc with cold spells. A ranged attack really helps to a barb sometimes. Besides when act3 merc freezes them and you "break them" you wont have to refight any resurrected monsters and so on. Basically, he freezes them and i whirlwind them.

Everybody, how good is this tactic by the way?

It's a pretty basic strategy that's been around forever :P

Act two Defensive - holy freeze aura - is usually the default for most characters, and it can hurt even cold immune monsters.
