How can I move my single player character to multiplayer?

A single player character cannot be transferred to one of the realms. The only multiplayer options are tcp/ip (play with a friend) and Open Battlenet, which you can select in the main screen of D2. Open Battlenet games are hosted by the players' own connections, unlike the realms which are served by B.net.

I used to think you could do that as well :laughing: (well, some years ago).
Played my sp char many hours and then found out the (horrible) truth.

If you can play on closed bnet, then go for it.
Open is not worth it unless you like trading items with 352364 to all skills or testing stuff.
