When you die, the resist bonuses gained by the anya quest vanish, you can get them back by rejoining.

When u die u lose the resistance gained by anya quest's. This will not show Character screen.... So if u have completed anya quest on normal and nightmare, and u die u will lose 20 res. (2x 10 res.) if completed on all difficulties u lose 30 res. (3x 10 res.)

Only way to regain the lost res. is to join new game/re-join

When you rescue Anya, Malah will reward you with a scroll which gives you a 10% bonus to all resistances after you read it. However, that bonus is lost if you die, for as long as you stay in the game, even though the character screen still takes it into consideration. That means, you lose the bonus 3 times if it happens after you got the reward in all three difficulties. Leaving and reentering the game fixes that.

This bug is irrelevant in hardcore, for obvious reasons.
