shield decision

im a lvl 75 meteorb. im using a lidless. is it worth dumping 40 points into str so i can use the spirit shield i just picked up?

i did it, and i survive hell quite well with just a lvl 76 pure orb, the added +2 all skills adds some very nice damage to fire skills and orb, + you can put a 4 isted sheild there later on in life :P, but if you tend to die, get something like lidless and pump your vitality

its all based on preference

instead of starting a new thread ill post here. Im gonna make a meteord sorc and use a gull and 4ist monarch on switch. ill be usuing tals set so i was wondering if i should use mosers circle with 2 pdiamonds for some good resist or a spirt or storm shield. also, its my first time making a sorc so is there a clear cut winner between max block and no block all vita?

it should be awesome for pally's too. all pally shields get 4s and the runes in it are usable at level 25. a regular magical/rare pally shield with +2 pally skills has a 42 level req, along with the hoz.

ronaldo: i would recommend starting out with max block in mind. if you aren't building for max block, a good resist shield like the moser's is fine. i wouldn't say there is a clear cut winner, rather there is no clear cut loser. a max block sorc is ok, a max vit/no block sorc is ok.

It all comes down to personal preference and play style. If there were only one clear-cut way of doing things, this game would be rather boring, don't you think?

Indeed it is. I believe jake007 did a fairly in-depth analysis on the Pally Forum about how 'Spirit' actually beat out HoZ for a PvP Hammerdin.
