I think he will be definitly a bad guy, he manipulated the "hero" to destroy the prime evils (to eleminate possible threats to his plans), and he destroyed the worldstone to forge his own, new dimension where he reigns supreme as a badass ultimate boss.

My idea of D3 is of 2 sides, good and evil, fighting each other and with the common enemy that is tyrael and cain, the manipulative duo.
