Heya pvp forum dudes.
I am making a 7fpa bower, all dex, all +max dmg charms, KB, fort, faith, all that crap.
I have a 198 Eth Upped Titan's / SS with a ed/-15% req jewel.
I was thinking maybe 1 in LF, to switch in close combat with a barb or something, to LF run LF run LF run etc.?
Is this a good plan? Do I need CS as well? Or how about Jab?
I just gave up on getting high life because I have my reasons. CtA is out of the question.
Or none in jav skill and just use titan/ss to run further away and then start spamming GA's again?
If you're going to use LF, you should consider Lightning Bolt. It's ITD and works with Knockback.
Alas, if all you want to do is run, I would equip a harmony.

I've never considered that. Would a unsynergized low lvl Lightning Bolt be competent as LF in PvP? And LF isn't ITD? Sorry never made a zon before...
Harmony hmm.. Even with Harmony, would I be able to outrun Charge / Tele?
Atleast with Titan/SS I get bonus frw and max ctb.
Lightning Bolt
Required Level: 12
Prerequisites: Poison Javelin [6]
If an Amazon warrior has proven herself worthy, the goddess Zerae can empower her with the ability to strike down enemies by hurling javelins charged with power as if she had snatched lighting from the heavens.
Effect: Leaves a trail of lightning and does lightning damage.
Converts 100% Physical Damage To Elemental Damage
LF's Lightning component is ITD, but the physical part isn't. I believe the physical part is what initiates KB on LF.
Harmony hmm.. Even with Harmony, would I be able to outrun Charge / Tele?
No you can't, but you can't with Titans/SS either; however, you would be traveling much faster. I would venture to guess that you'll be at least 2 times as fast.

Vigor frw > Titans FRW
Also, when running, you don't have 75% block.

Mmm I read that too. Arreat makes all skills sound so cool... and I was thinking of using Jab because its physical dmg will be higher than LF's elemental because of Fort / Titan's etc. etc., Lightning Bolt seems like a good sub.

The KB will definitely help me either gain enough distance to switch bow again or keep them away to throw some extra bolts.

I suppose I can't really outrun anyone unless I stack on frw stuff, which I haven't.

I know, so I was thinking of walking, but that just destroys any chance of outmanuevering.
Is Lightning Bolt the #1 choice for Bowers with Titan/SS on switch? I think I'll go with it... and how many skills into it? Would 1 with no synergies be okay?
1pt is fine. Spend those extra points on your passives.
IIRC, Lyrs is right about the KB only working if the physical attack hits. Missing or being blocked doesn't have the KB effect. There was a post on this quite a while ago..

Try to hang around areas where there's more obstacles, such as puddles, etc. Don't screw yourself over though.
One point should be enough for the Lighning Bolt attack, since when most people see a bowazon, they don't really stack on resists.

Alright. Cool.
Now the final q is;
Is Titan's / SS worth it? Just for Lightning Bolt? Would a Harmony bow be much more suitable? I guess I'm not gonna outrun anyone with either so....
For switch, do I use it when opponents get really near, then hope you'll kill with LB before your block / D-A-E fails you? Or just keep GA'ing till death?

Titans/SS is much better than harmony. Without a block switch youll just be bait for basically any kind if pally, barbs, other zons, the such. I've also found LF to be MUCH better than LB, but thats just preference i guess?
You won't have the time to switch, throw, and run before you get ww-locked and your ear pops off, unless you can take at least 2-3 hits without dying and pull a victory.
If you're not sure, use the other unique javelin (which comes with built in LB and -light res) and practice with that. Personally, I use harmony because even with 50%dr, my zon dies in 1 or 2 hits. My passives can only do so much work.

Hmm what makes you say that? Does it do more damage? I don't see how it could seeing how much physical damage will be much greater than Lightning, and LB can KB.
Also, anyone find Jab useful in PvP? It'd be near impossible to get that close to casters, and I figure melees will keep putting me in stationary animations, but I think it does huge amount of damage, does it not?

Ok. I'll practice couple times with a Tstroke. Thx for all your efforts guys this is really helping me.
The only way you can survive long enough to run away is with a shield.
Personally, I would stay away from Jab, as that brings me closer to my enemies than safety allows.

Lighning bolt merely does lightning damage. While LF delivers both lightning and physical. Remember, with this build you have lots of points to spare, which means you can invest a lot in critical strike (70% cs or more). With an eth upped Titans you can have 4k - 5k max damage. When critical strike triggers you can potentially deal 8k - 10k physical damage + the lightning from LF.

One point in jab is all you need. When you're triwhirled by a barb (yes, eventually you will) its hard to throw lightning fury because it keeps getting canceled either because you dodge or you block. Jab is uninterruptible so you can keep attacking the barb. This is a good thing especially if the barb only has a few hitpoints left. Of course, a win can't be guaranted but at least you don't just sit there dodging and blocking.
Some godly bowzons can escape triwhirl and keep throwing LF, but that's hard.

of course you die 1 or 2 hits without a shield?
It's simply a case where the opponents dmg after pvp penalty is greater than my zon's hp.
SS + Titans = only choice imo.
My lvl 49 bowa uses eth titans + 60 ED mosers on switch. Works wonders.

Jab for a bowa = instant death.

Lightning Fury with Knockback is completely deadly. Use that imo.
vs barbs eth titan /ss but you wont survive long if you need to switch once the barb has you in name lock.
worth mentioning is sanctuary, nice vs trappers as its got good res and 20 fhr which takes you to 8 frame fhr bp, bowas dont normally have much fhr so its a nice place to get on switch when your trying to get out of mb. the added frw of titans helps with the sanctuary i find. just switch and fire one arrow or 2 and switch back. with kb you can sometimes get out of mb if your quick enough then attack from range.
