Hi
Well my trapper is real pain in pubs due to absorb stacking so Im going to make an Amasin. Most of my gear is going to come from my old traper. I am worried my venom damage will be too low. What gear changes do I need to make?(the cheaper the suggestion the better)
Helm:Shako(um)
Armor: Trechery(dusk shroud)
Belt:Arachs
Boots:Waterwalks
Gloves:Trangs
Amy:Maras
Ring:Raven/Dwarf
Weapon: Two 3 to trap claws,
Widow Maker(umd) on switch
Torch
I knocked this build before but im not very bright. I think it could be a fun build to bring to the pubs.

Will no one come to my aid.
I know its not a very popular build but still.

Holy cow, it's only been three hours o.O
Don't call it an amasin, FCS. x.x. It's a bowassn =D
Enigma is the armor of choice.
If you're going to have claws like those, you might as well just call yourself a trapsin.
A shield , like Stormshield, works much better on your switch; especially when paired with something like Wizardspike, Death's Web or Fleshripper

Im confused.
You need those claws to get good trap damage.
I prebuff venom with two 3 to shadow discipline claws
And I always thought it was Amasiin (its what the guide called it)
I agree enigma would be the armor of choice.
Its not a pure traper and im using as much of my old trapers gear as I possibly can.

bowsins are awsome, definatly my fav non cookie cutter build
wizAdept is pro with his build, big props to him. ill quote the msg he sent to me(and has some pvp vids at the bottom)
[QUOTE=wizAdept]
Anyways, the build I use for a bowsin is actually a hybrid between kick and bow, mostly kick.
The idea of a hybrid is that kick kills things that bowsins are weak against:
wind druids
sorcs
necros
amazons
And bow kills things kick is weak against:
wwbarbs
smiters
hammerdins
trappers
In essence the two parts of the hybrid are the same:
65+ cast
86+ fhr
venom/open wounds is main source of damage
maxed mb and 9fpa trapset speed for stunlock
those are the main goals you should have for a pvp asn.
other goals should include:
max res
stacked res when needed
50 dr when needed
75% block on ss
60%+ block on c/c
weapon specific goals are:
max bow speed
7/3 kick, do not exceed 5 kicks, 3-5 is preferance.
if you build characters centered around goals rather than just items, you will have a stronger build even if you are building on a lower budget.
My character is fairly high budget, the build I currently use: (not a guide, just listing of what equipment I carry at the moment, my equipment switches around from time to time, I have a mule for stuff that doesnt fit in my stash >.>)
charms:
torch/anni
4x shadow/fhr
3x shadow/vita
2x 5/5fhr sc
14x 5/5frw scs
main equipment:
Nef'd widowmaker
enigma
2/20/30/res asn circlet socketed with ias/res jewel
trang gloves
arach belt
2/25 dancers
stormhide amulet
250/20 ravenfrost
str/fcr/replenish ring
weapons:
Um'd deaths web
Um'd fleshripper
Um'd wizardspike
shields:
Ber'd SS (75 block)
35% spirit
claws: (60% block)
malice (always primary claw)
2/2/50 jade with 30lightres jewel
chaos
other swapable items in stash:
cta
2x 6 venom claws
bramble (buff only)
kiras with coldres/ias jewel
fletch amulet
tgods
The build I currently use is:
15 talon
1 flight
20 venom
20 shadow master
20 mindblast
6 cloak of shadows
1 light sentry
1 wake of fire
1 blade fury
The idea is to keep the goals for 65cast/86fhr covered at all times, keeping hands swapable against different opponents. If you are dueling as primarily a bow asn (even though I hardly use bow vs sorcs) against sorc for example, it would be a good idea to switch from w/s to c/c, so you can block fireballs. Try not go get hit bowside, this is important for all duels. reposition your hotkeys so that swap weapon is close to your other keys, you need to be fast at blocking when necessary, a few hits bowside = death
For general pubbing, I'm on dweb/ss 90% of the time. vs really good casters however, not having weaponblock is a huge disadvantage.
Here are some gameplay demonstrations I posted a while ago:

I see this build focuses less on traps and more on kicks. Actually this is probably a better approach. My 7k traps are easily negated but having some hefty kick damage would be a much better option. A few questions though:
Why cloak of shadows?
Do I need to replace most of the gear I listed?
Why a Nef? I was planning on using an UM for the open wounds.

KB is irritating for your opponents, making them go into hit recovery animation, but I would use UM anyway :)

Why cloak of shadows?
Probably to lower the opponent's defense.

You need knockback, and you won't have it on your gloves.
It's just necessary.
You can get open wounds from your boots, belt, or switch
if you gotta have it.

I guess that depends on the other pieces of equipment. If I were to buid this kind of sin, I would use trangs + arach + dancers which means no OW. So an UM is definitely a better option in this case.
