quick pvp bone necro question.. ?

hey I decide to make a pvp bone necro with skills as:
20 teeth
20 bone spear
20 bone spirit
1 bone armor
20 bone wall
1 clay golem
1 golem masteries
rest into bone prision

Some of my concerns is max block? Does the bone necro need max block in pvp or the bone armor is enough?
Also what is proven to be a good shield to use? Homo or spirit?

If you're playing public games, IMO max block is definitely needed. Whether you use Homonculus (less dex needed, +skills, nice resists) or Stormshield (more dex needed, but major damage reduce), you need block. Bone armor is not going to save you with all the zons, barbs, and pallies running around all over public games.

Spirit might have the FCR and FHR, but there's no point in that if you'll die in a couple of guided arrows or a whirlwind or two.

You can use spirit if you're planning to only spam bone spirits off screen though. :wink2:

My vote goes for SS too. To lessen the pain of dex investment for max block, get nice 10fcr rings with dex and huge mana mods.

i already have a max block windy druid. i wanted a character that would kill casters, so should i use spirit instead of homo?

you'll have hard time killing es sorcs... Nec isn't THAT good vs casters.

As it has already been said, bone necro has very hard time with casters. Especially ES sorcs that it's ultra hard to beat them.
Better solution is windy or BvC, however if you want to stay with necro and duel only casters, go with spirit and no block for more life and damage.

if im poor (i even dont have eni, but let's ill have one :) ), isnt max vita better ? if i go max block, i should probably ise those sick >30life pb skillers, 20life + something sc, amu with 20str 20frc +life, ring with frc, life ect. but i can't afford those items.
should i really go max block even if im poor ?

You need 125fcr as a pvp bone necro, so go with spirit for that extra 35fcr (cheaper option).
I wouldn't start pvp boner without some wealth though, this char need some expensive euip to perform well.

I would go max vita, with spirit you have a lot more flexibility with items and got 55% FHR just in the shield plus the others useful mods, so you can have an easier time with elemental chars by stacking and absorbing because your free to use any rings and belt.
If the Barb is good you hardly stand a chance with or without maxblock, you would only get block locked more, luckily most pubs barbs are not good with the leap+tele thing.
Zons are a real problem, when I had a max block necro, they would end up hitting me anyway, they do too much damage and shot too fast for the blocking to be effective. Without max block I'll just stay away and try to to the box trick, big advantage for teleing chars, or when they are near a corner or something I would bonewall all the place, works on the weaker ones, the strong ones destroys them all too fast, the key I guess is to make them move, don't try to snipe with spear, make them run into IBS, terrain is the biggest advantage versus zons.
