Question about merc.

Hi,

My CLVL 92 Necromancer has an Act 2 defensive Mercenary.
So far so good but........it sometimes takes a long time untill the Holy Freeze aura comes in (works)
It sometimes take a minute or more untill the aura works.

What's happening?

if i recall correctly , the aura is like a chance to cast spell , so the merc has to do some fighting before the aura kicks in.

Correct. The aura has a certain chance to be selected as the next combat action. The higher level your Merc is, the lower this chance is. It can take a while before he selects his aura at higher levels.

Get your merc into an area like Eldrich/ Shenk at Frigid Highlands, where there are lots of monsters.
