well i had both of them (ba and PB) and i can say that the PB is a little bit faster..but the Ba is more damaging ..My opinion..:lipsrsealed:

Max attainable zeal speed is 4fpa for both, but it is much easier to hit that with a phase blade of course. A berserker axe has much higher damage, but if we are talking about grief, zeal damage will be about the same with both,assuming a similar roll. Only a miniscule advantage for the axe.

Depends on the rest of your gear. Phase blades have 30% base IAS, zerkers have 0. If you can get the extra IAS on your gear without sacrficing much, then by all means, use the zerker. If you want more flexibility or a faster weapon speed when not using fanatasim (like say when using salvation or sanctuary for undead pi's) then use the phase blade.

Also, Grief phase blades are more than enough for PvM, but people tend to prefer Grief zerkers for PvP since they do a little more damage and have a range of 3 instead of 2.

Phase blades do not have 30% base ias,just a base speed of -30 according to arreat. Zerkers have base speed 0.
