Hi all! I just read a rather depressing thread about how this forum seems to be slowing down (which I didnt notice myself) But I did notice that the maul guide is down and we have some questions making a werebear. I recently posted a reply to another user contained here...
I think it'd be great to come up with a great items guide for players that want to make good shapeshifting. Preferably werebear :thumbsup: Items that are pretty easily attainable with minimal MFing and trading. For both block and vita shifters also
Heres what I posted in the previous thread maybe we can do some switching around, but thats the best I could do in short notice.
Think its something we can do?
Weapon
Civerbs cudgel
Bonesnap Maul (40% Crushing blow rocks)
Shield: Sigons/75% Coral Deflector Shield with 2 open sockets (You can buy this in Act4, it has OS for P Diamonds and has max block plus res already) or Ancients Pledge (Ral,Ort,Tal)/Rhyme (Shael,Eth I think)
Armor: Any rare armor with good mods. Sigons of course, cathans if you have the rest of the set to get the fire damage bonus. 3os armor ral+ort+thu for resistance
Boots: Treads of Cthon, buy some with faster run/walk speed/MF/Res Sigons with gloves is best setup you can get normal
Gloves: try your best to get sigon glove/boot setup 30%ias and 10% life leech
NIGHTMARE
Weapons
Bloodtree stump (res/ias/crushing blow)
Darkclan cudgel/crushflange/Baranars Star later
Armor
Skin of the vipermagi (upgrade this later and it'll be useful throughout the game and it drops frequently from Mephisto)
Lionheart runeword
Duriels Shell (my FAVORITE budget armor it has res/cannot be frozen)
Shaftstop for towards the end of NM
Gloves and Boots
Theres a lot of choices here but for the sake of time just stick with sigons gloves and boots as long as you can. Basically your gloves should have ias and life leech. Layind of hands is good, sanders taboo, orphans set gloves etc. Goreriders boots if you can get them, if not than any boots with faster runwalk/resistance and damage mods if you can find them.
Hell (on a budget is gonna be HARD without at least 1 of the uniques mentioned earlier still I'll try here)
Weapon
Earth Shifter/UPed Windhammer/Schaffers Hammer (really REALLY awesome weapon)
or....
60os phaseblade with shael/%ed %ias jewels
6os giant thresher with the same mods for MAX range
Armor
Upped Skin of the vipermagi + Um rune
Upped Duriels Shell
Shaftstop
Gloves and Boots
IK boots and gloves/Sigons boots and gloves
Jewelery is pretty standard
Raven ring/Dual leech other finger/Highlords or Rainbow/Chromatic Amulet giving at least +27 resist all.
There you go! Gamble a lot of jewelry and get money from picking up items from baal runs! Hope this helps I'll add more if I can think of anything else
Oh and dont forget to get Cresent Moon THE BEST budget runeword out there casting a level 13 static field. This weapon is AWESOME on your merc.
maybe we can edit this and organize it and such for new druid makers to have an idea what they can achieve without much effort.
