Bad luck, maybe? How many runs have you done?

It's not about the MF, or at least, it shouldn't be. MF just increases your chances to get something decent.

Anyway, if it's not bad luck, I'm also wondering what's up. Drops containing ONLY scrolls and gold, so not even some magic of rare items, and that on Nightmare.. Sounds a bit weird.

MF wouldn't help at all with such drops.

MF only increases the odds that a crappy normal will be a crappy magic item or a crappy rare, or a crappy set or a crappy unique.

And since scrolls and gold can't be magic, rare, set, or unique, MF can't boost it's catagory.

MF does not increase your odds of getting something decent. It only increases the odds it will be a higher catagory.

More MF means more Isenharts and less plain breast plates.

By the way, @TS: I just came across someone who did about 100 bossruns before he got his first unique. So - it could be terrible bad luck. Just do more runs.

I suppose this also would mean that if I'm running hell baal for grand charms that I needn't bother increasing my MF if baal is never dropping any normal items for me? Since GC's can only be unique or magic I wonder if they are even effected by mf at all.

Since GC's can only be unique or magic I wonder if they are even effected by mf at all. They are. MF checks to see if the GC will become a unique or just another magical one when it drops.

so the only consideration you have to give to MF when you're hunting Baal GCs is that if you have very high MF you'll end up with more unwanted gheeds?
