View Full Version : Cow King
From the sticky, I took this little piece of info:
"Comment from staticj: It doesn't matter if someone in your party kills the king as long as you dont hit or get hit by him or his lightning. If you hit him or he hits you and he's killed THEN you can't make the cow level, but if you dont hit him nor he hits you then you can still make the level if he's killed, even by party members."
Can anyone confirm or deny that ? Nobody I talked to about it on BNet ever heard about it.

Doesnt' sound right. Most likely someone was in a game where the king was killed by someone who had killed him before and they were still able to make games.
The game checks to see if a quest is done/not done, but I can't imagine the game checking if a certain monster has hit you or not.

i think when he says "he hits you AND gets killed" he means cow king getting killed because he hit you. You may have thorns aura or attacker takes damage equip etc etc.

I don't think so but even still I can't imagine Blizzard doing any coding to make it true.
If someone kills the king the game checks to see if it completes the quest for that person.
If it does then the game credits everyone with completing the quest.
If the person already has the quest completed then the game doesnt' trigger the quest completed portion of the code.
But I can't think of how the code would be to do what he says it does.
Doesn't mean he's not right, I just don't think he is.
The only thing that matters is whether or not the person who kills the king has the quest completed, AFAIK.
