People always say stuff like this but I've yet to see a ring that can absolutely beat ravenfrost.

Is there a combo out there I don't know about?

depends on your needs.
My t/v needed loads of str to use CoA,and even more dex for max block with vortex, and he's base str.
So I started to look for a good str/dex/res ring, and I've found (traded for) one like this:

3ll
20str
14dex
17life
7@

For me, this ring beats raven when one is already in use (as a secondary ring is what I mean)

Afaik, rings can not spawn with cannot be frozen, which means you still need another item with the cbf mod if you remove raven.
Giving up the belt for a trang belt, or socketing armor/shield/helm with cham rune means you cant put an um or shael in it, meaning you 'lose' 15% all res or fhr.
I wouldnt switch raven out whatsoever, especially since it adds lots of AR as well as 20dex which really helps reaching max block.

I allways use angelic ammy and 2 rings when in pvp gives you a huge boost to you atack rating

CBF isn't available as a random mod. Only a few uniques, set items, runewords and armors, shields or helms items socketed with a Cham rune can have it.

Assuming you get CBF from elsewhere (or wear Raven on other hand), I'd say my dream PvP melee ring would look like this:

120 AR
20 strength
20 dexterity
40 life
11% resist all
9 minimum damage

These are the 100% perfect stats, but I'd settle for 80% of that. As long as you don't need cold absorb, a ring like this would definitely make it worthwhile spending a Cham to get CBF elsewhere. Of course if you don't need resists, you can replace the res all with 90 to mana, for example.

15 dex is max unless it's a craft.

but yes alot of statpoints can beat a raven since statpoints can be translated into pure HP.

I would choose the suffix "of the sun" instead of "of Excellence" giving 5% more ar

Edit: Its a suffix too much there
of the Mammoth
of Exellence
of the Titan
of Precision
this opens up for a prefix: cold or light res would be nice in that aspect (30% max].

Yep, I went through the lists too fast.

Is 5% really better? AFAIK, it just gets added directly to the % bonus from other sources. Assuming you have around 500% ar bonus on a PvP melee char, this gets boosted to 505% - only a 1% increase, right? Someone tell me if I'm wrong here...

The 120 AR comes from "Platinum", so not too many on my ring.

i had a rare ring that had 113 ar, 7ll, 5ml, 15 res all, 18 str.
i used it with a raven on my amazon and had no complaints

I've never said I would switch both ravens for some other rings, only second raven for the ring I've mentioned.

I think this imaginary ring is possible:

+25 str (5+20) - Titan
+20 dex - Perfection
3% LL
20life
120AR -Platinum
11 resist all - Rainbow

Of course there will be same old problem of cbf.

Perfection can only spawn on magic rings; crafts are considered rare... so 15 dex; otherwise a nice Blood Ring there. ;)

Platinum is a prefix and so is rainbow, the rest is suffixes, and a ring can have max 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes iirc (i was wrong when it came to rare jewels so I might be wrong here as those where the rules of rares back in 09.)
