How much money does the D2 Battle Chest cost at wal-mart?? I saw at ebgames.com and gamestop.com it is $40?? I thought it was 30 but i dont see it at walmart.com.

This forum does _not_ really "like" any sites that sell items for real money. I really, really hope Gorny will lock this thread as soon as possible. You really shouldn't ask such questions. My personal opinion is that all of the items in net stores are dupes and _will_ poof and are _not_ worth your money.

Oh. So you were talking about buying the actual game. I'm very, honestly, very sorry for my mistake. Makes me feel a bit embarrassed. But I didn't know that the game's called "D2 Battle Chest":shocked: , to me it's always just been Diablo II. Also, the way you mentioned a site, that's what got the bells ringing.
So, in short: I'm really sorry for my mistake and hope that I'm forgiven for being another mindless human being who should be erased from this planet due to having no reason to exist. (And yes, I do think that all human existence should be erased from this planet. Pictures of God, huh? Yeah, right)
Oh, and I hope you will like the game.

I got mine for forty bucks.
Actually, I bought it offa Amazon because shopping at Wal-Mart drives me nuts.
The day it came in, I had a supreme migraine (An omen! xD) and puked all over it.
Luckily, all the discs were salvagable.
Good luck, this game will completely ruin and control your life if you aren't careful.
Expect to lose at least two friends and gain about thirty pounds -_-

I'm a little surprised about how much it costs in the US. I just checked Amazon (in Germany) and D2C + LoD = €20 = $25.
Does the Battle Chest contain anything significant in addition to the game itself ?

Was wondering if it is packed in some cool package or something. It could become a nice collective after 10 years when diablo isnt available *gasp* at all... :shocked:

No it does not, the Diablo Battle Chest has the Classic game, LOD, and a very outdated strategy guide.
Those other games have their own batle chest version.

If my memorie's good, futureshop sell for 29.99 canadian dollars.
But really, the battlechest kit with the strategy guide is useless... I could have bought the 19.99 dollars game only with LOD upgrade.
The only difference with Battlechest package is that they give a useless manual with absolutly nothing interesting in it and the Diablo 1 original.

It's very, very funny to read if you compare it to modern day playing.
FI; it mentions that Culwen's Point is a very good sorceress weapon, that Firebolt is much better than Fireball, and that Teeth is an end-game spell.

Whee, I was right :smiley:. Saw D2 and LoD in a store today for 9,99 euro a piece, and I seriously considered getting another copy. Especially my D2 play disc is getting old. But I think I'd rather by a battlechest then.

If you bought one and it didn't come with Diablo 1, you were slightly ripped off. In other words, yes, it does come with D1.

hey mine came packed witha 14day trial WoW disk and guest cd-key.(Bought just a few weeks ago,maybe new packaging?)
I bought my battlechest the other day and thanks to the great prices here in Australia, it was $90.00 luckily there was a 50% off sale though.
Yes, the Diablo 2 battle chest is a pretty good pack as long as you get it for cheap (like me, $50 AUD). Just don't buy it second hand, as almost always something is missing, unusable, or even the CD-Key is still being used.

i didnt get the chest I had them seperately but i always see the d2 and lod boxes connected into one package so i thought that was the chest, maybe not.
