You have no way to prove it's a Baal Grandcharm unless you can somehow get it's Ilvl visible. It should be ilvl 99.

The other way of proving it is by rerolling it until there's a mod which can only appear on one (such as 41-45 life)
just trade it, the person wants it should be able to the level.
why is baal grand charms so good????what can u do with it?

They are the only ones with an Ilvl high enough to get 41-45 life. 41-45 life + <insert useful skill bonus here> = wealth. Even if it didn't originally spawn like that, one can reroll its mods with 3 pgems.
ok thx can u reroll other grandcharms with 3pgms??
and i just want to know if i can find all charms (all the best charms ) inall difficulties. And if where is the best place to find them?

You can reroll any magical item with the 3 pgems recipe.

You start getting plain skill charms from the Flayer Jungle and Great Marsh in Act 3 NM. You can only get skill + vita charms from Baal, Nihlathak or Diablo...and those, as has been said before, are worth a lot. If you happen to luck out and find or reroll a lion branded grand charm of vita (paladin combat skills + life), you can name your price for it anywhere.

ok, I have a large charm with +30 life that (obviously) only takes up 2 inventory spaces. If I have 3 of these it would offer the same +90 to life that two max life bonus baal charms would give. So why are the +45's valued so much if it's so easy (and cheap?) as it seems to be to get large charms that gives just as much bonus to health for the same space usage?

People don't use GCs for life; they use them for skills and +life since most duelers' inventories are filled with charms, you need the most you can get for that space.

Hi Guys,
Sorry to go off theme slightly you mention 3 PG to reroll any magic (blue) item if the item has 3 ptopaz in say a helm will the topaz remain or do they vanish or can you not reroll an already socketed magic item
again apologies if this has already been answered somewhere else
Cheers

So if Baal, Nihlathak or Diablo drop a charm, it's worth a lot? (Or could be worth a lot if it sucks and you reroll it with the cube?)
Phaaa, learning new things every day. :D I sold one of those to the merchents once. Now I feel the same way as when I found an +20 life small charm and sold it, only to find out later that day that they are (or were?) worth quite a bit.

However, if you manage to roll a good skiller with it, you could get a lot more, especially if it gets a good second mod.
Ok I Understand the re-rolling and getting a better mod... but how do I look at mess of charms I placed on a mule and know which ones have the high ilvl and which dont? Wouldn't that be hacking if you used some sort of program to figure out if it was indeed a high lvl charm?

At one time I purged all GC's out off my chars except gold find and low req. strength charms.
Those chars I only play in Hell except the GF barb but NM council is high enough to drop a GC high enough to be a skiller.
That way for my main account any GC's that are not GF are high enough to be a skiller.
And I only reroll GCs.
If I am playing in an area where the GCs can't be skillers I imediately Charsi them.
Every now and then I Charsi a lot of other size charms.
The only other way would be to look at the mods. If a GC had +41 life it has to be a high level. I forget which.
But that would be time consuming.
You might want to consider purging all GC's.
