Need Advice | Throwing Barb | PvP

So, I was thinking about starting up a throwing barb, I've read the guide here on the forum, but I really don't think it can do anything in PvP, but I want it to work. I will be using him mainly vs melee chars. I would like some advice from people who played/play a throwing barb in PvP.
