Same set item dropping twice

I hope this is the right place to ask this question.

I just mat'd my 82 cold/fire sorceress. Baals drops:
- Yellow Splint Mail
- Yellow Scythe
- Green Helm
- Green Helm
- Pally shield

I am very excited at green and immediately ID them:
BOTH are Isenharts Horns. :shocked:

I didn't know this was possible: any idea what the chances are? v1.11b SP RWM interaction but not installed. No other 3rd party stuff installed either.

Shame they weren't something more exciting but hey ho.

Yea, set items can drop multiple times. Uniques can not. I once found 3 cathan rings from a meph run. 2 from Bad M himself and another from a chest.

edit: pwnd :devil: But im having second thoughts about the unique dropping thingy. Maybe it can drop 2 same uniques from one monster, dont know.
But if a unique has dropped once, it wont drop again in that game.
Also, when gambling, if you rerolled the gambling screen a bunch of times, all the uniques that you could have bought (but didnt) are considered as drops.

yes, two uniq [or set items] can drop at once, but only from one monster.
I got 2 uniq rings of NM andariel once (nagel and mandal s**t :P)

Try again. You didn't get the same unique, you got two different unique rings. Read this thread. (http://forums.diabloii.net/showthread.php?t=453293)

To Thyiad: many people who have done any significant amount of mfing have gotten two Isenhart's armors (for example) on a number of occasions, so two of the same set item is not all that uncommon... welcome to the club. :thumbsup:

*raises hand* I got dual Isenhart Armor from nm Mephy last night.

Also a few other interesting observations from 8 or so hours of straight mf'in in NM with 254% mf:

5 Shards: all came from chests/dead rogues/etc in Cat 4
Mahim-Oak ammy was obtained though Gambling in Act IV
3 times Andy dropped 1 unik ring & one rare ring same time (no SoJs tho)
Twice Andy dropped one rare ring & one set ring same time
Out of all the set items found, the rarest were Death at 0 & Arcana only 1 item dropped
Predictibly Isenhart & Sigon were the most common (mostly from Mephy)
Also of note, NO unik gloves, boots, or wands dropped

Back when 2 of the same unik could drop in same game, Soulflay seemed to do it the most for me, but I have never had 2 of same unique in same drop. As stated earlier, that now is impossible.
