Hi. I was just wondering why some people trade for hel and ral runes in large quantities. I quess one would make sense but 22? Also when cubing sockets into an armor or shield is it possible for the item to turn either superior or eth, or perhaps both.
peace

Ral rune is part of a popular crafting recipe.
Hel rune is used to remove stuff from socketed items.
Check out the Arreat Summit cube recipes for details.
You cannot turn a normal armor into an eth or superior one.
if you make a runeword and dont like the stats is there a way that you can re roll it or something and get the runes out to make it again?

No, when you use the recipe to remove items from sockets, whatever was in the sockets are destroyed.

Hmmm can the item you have "helled" be re-inserted with other runes to make a new runeword?

yes it can 10char
People do this regularly with runewords like Spirit, where the Faster Cast Rate is variable. That's why you see people buying the cheap Spirit runes and Hels in massive amounts.
