Countess drops on B.net = drops on SP??

I've been specifically running hell Countess/ hell Meph with my new MF/Blizzard sorceress since a couple of days. Haven't been disappointed by Meph (Arach, etc.) but countess... Gosh!

I ran her 250+ times so far with the best rune drop being a... Shael?!? (and boy, she drops me a lot of those, along with crappy rals, tals, orts...) I don't get it as I was running her as well while I was playing SP and at least every 50 runs I would get some Ios, Hels, Lem. Pul/Um also at times... :undecided:

So can someone please let me know whether I'm just going through INCREDIBLE bad luck or is it normal? Are hell countess rune drops "worse" online than in SP?!

As far as I know SP drop = bnet drop (well - in SP you can use players X but thats another matter).

got an ist on my 3rd countess yesterday.
but before yesterday, about a million shaels, hels, ams, sols, rals.. aaa you get the pic.

somethime you just need to get lucky.

2 mals have dropped for me so far. But I'd say waiting for good runes is worth it if your getting the keys.

If anything, you've been quite lucky. There are people in the SPF who run her thousands of times with no Puls and no Ums.

B.net drops are identical to SP drops.

Run the Countess in solo games with no other players, and 0% MF to optimise your chances of a higher rune dropping.

Edit1: Slight error. What I meant to say was that 0% MF because MF has no effect on rune dropping, therefore it is easier to pile on +skills items, FCR, FHR etc, to speed up your runs.

Edit2: More players in the game actually decreases the chance of runes dropping, which is why playing in a one player game optimises your chance of getting the most number of runes dropping, and a slightly better chance that one of those runes is a high-ish rune.

Up to Lo with a rough probability of 1:325,000.

An Ist is approx 1:1110.

A Pul is approx 1:420.

if a ist has a chance of 1:1110 to drop isnt it better to run countness than runnig baal for like 1:3050 or something (idon't know how much) to find a perfekt HoZ? but the mf isnt affecting the dropp of runes by the way ....

I have a quick sort of Off-topic (but not really!) question about the countess....for her to drop keys do u have to be the whole game? (ya know baal in hell!) or does she just drop them? I've only run her about 100 times but i haven't see any keys....could someone maybe tell me the drop rates for the keys...i am fairly new at the whole "key" thing! THX IN ADVANCE!!!

I think keys drop around 1 per 15 runs. You've just been unlucky.

Was stopping by and saw that you were talking about countess.
Let me tell you one thing: She is one tough cookie.
Me my self have only run her because of the keys but man except for the keys... Shes useless!
Ok not that useless, I did found an ist after a couple of thousand runs. But still.
If shes got something to show me, she better act fast!

Well... Countess has some use for me... I have huge crafting needs and countess is my main source of RALs and AMNs. Very good for low runes harvesting.
No other use for her.
