biggest problem with my barbs

well... i've tried many barbs now and currently working on another barb project... but my biggest problem is always a lack of AR

my current barb is going to be a dual sword wielding (botd cb/grandfather) frenzybarb with forti, arreat, raven, bk5, verdungo (if i can get my hands on one), draculs/steeldrend (whichever comes first), sandstorms or gores and some amu... probably mara's or a barb amu with nice stats...

i know that angelic amu and 2 angelic rings gives a nice boost but that just isnt enough... does anyone have another suggestion for my current barb? and what is the basic barb gear?

But then you lose masses of life, unless you mean max/ar/life scs. a few ar/life gcs does a miracle. Mainly 1xx/2x-3x's. Get a few of those. Also, a BK is one of the worst rings on a barb. Carrion wind, Manald heal, ravenfrost. Those are the only rings you should ever consider. Others are trash. Bk specially, since the life/lvl doesn't get multiplied by bo, you do not need stamina, the +skill only adds mana costs to your combats and adds a tiny bit of damage, you can have better ll from such rings as carrion winds (IIRC bk's had ll)

The angelics would give you a lot of AR (combined with the bonus from GF and Mastery) + some life and 20% DTM and with the cannot be frozen on TO it would nice combo...

But i think you will lack PDR that the Verdungo or a String would give you...

thats why i want your opinion... ofcourse i can try 1 angelic ring, 1 angelic amu, 1 raven setup...

and i finaly see what the biggest problem on my axebarb was... it didnt have the +50% ar bonus given by gf because he has botd (411/13) ba and doom ettin...

dual ravens+ar/life gcs is the best. Allows you to have max block easily, and you should easily reach 6-8kish AR, which is _plenty_ for PvM. But this is only good if you use EBotdZ or Crescent Moon, otherwise you will want manald heal and Carrion wind for leeches.

yeah but i wont be using a shield because im using frenzy as my primary skill

i know its unusual and probably bad in pvp but im having lots of fun with my axebarb in pvp... i figured i should make a swordbarb as well because that can get even better with the right gear and stats

I don't understand if this is for pvp or pvm, but try using

1. Angelic ammy + rings with Hsarus belt + boots.
*blet+boots might be a big sacrifice

2. Metalgrid with 2x raven frosts
*probably the best ar/resist setup (if resist problems)

3. Hell Act 2 Offensive
*merc grants blessed aim aura, suggest levling yourself before hiring.

EDIT: Oh pvp :tongue: might come down to charms.
