Most well-tested PVM Cold Build?

I know I know, there is no "best" build. But I basically want the most successful cold build that is currently around. I haven't played in a few years but I recently re-bought the game and got back into it :D (<3 D2 still)

I might try a creative/original build later but for now I just want the strongest cold build possible that will take me through to hell. What's the top cookie-cutter out right now? When I played a sorc back in the day I just whored fire wall so I know very little about cold. There's so many guides on the net its hard to know which ones are decent/good advice/current.

I've heard that people had a lot of success using blizzard in combination with static field and teleport plus a no-delay finisher. This sounds good but I'd really love some 'pro' input before I screw my build.

Also can you still gamble for uniques? My gear is trash and I've been throwing lots of cash at Gheed hoping for a lucky tarn or frosties ;)

blizzard is best cold skill w/o a doubt. you can farm hell meph with just blizz and the moat trick.

if you want to go two elements and gain some versatility, go blizzballer. you can find a guide by milady in the stickied guides at the top of this forum.

ive played every type of sorc there is, except bowsorcs or melee sorcs. i remember when firewall was ownage for bloody foothill runs. thats when lod first came out.

anyway, if you know how to play a sorc, you can be able to mf with any build/skill. its all a matter of strategic teleporting and static. if you are poor and cannot afford anything, i would go with pure cold blizzard. farm hell meph till you get enuff items to trade/use/etc. starting from the beginning is slow and tedious, but eventually you will be able to have a fully decked out sorc. goodluck.
