... Inspired by GooberGrape's 1.11 SPF SC Ladder trading thread (and the fact that we've got quite a few individual pricecheck threads here at the moment), I thought we could easily consolidate those posts into one centralized thread.

So, if you're curious what that new rare sword is worth, feel free to post it here. If you feel like helping out some noob (like me) and telling him his gear is crappy, godly, or anything in between, that's welcome here too.

Also, please post the version and mod's you found the item with (also, a brief ISO isn't such a bad idea, assuming you want to trade the item).

Edit: If you're going to conduct trades in this thread (which makes sense), please try to be concise and on topic (i.e. no spam please).


It also would be better if one could post the item needed for PC, and ask more specifically what is it worth. (instead of just in general)

Cinnabar of Freedom jewels are more sought after. Re-roll that jewel or use in crafting.
Nice skiller. 1/2 the price of Entrapping and 1/4 of LB with the same secondary mod.
Sc's of poison generally requires a prefix and a suffix to be useful i.e Toxic of Anthrax. But Toxic sc's can generally stand their own. Check the "Charm Guide" in the stickies.

EDIT: Checkout some of the latest trades. I believe Kobe traded one, mtzang has one.

jrla: Those things are like very rare, i believe some has ISOed those w/o much success. If one do emerges, demand won't be that high tho since not many have the runes to make those RW's. I value socketables mostly a mid-level skiller + pgems.

TheNix: Traded a Tal's for Metalgrid before. I've read somewhr that the ammy is more rare than the armor, they are normally traded as a pair (ammy+armor). It could get you any exceptionals (4-5), and 1-2 non87 elites or maybe 3-4 87 grailers

wilypueo: Can't see why you can't do a straight trade Azurewrath for Griffons. Success depends on wht there are any takers, and Griffon's stats.

If that belt had strenght on it, it would be one of the best belts there is. Even so, it can be very good for pvp if you need lightning resistances and fhr (I would use it against trappers, for example ). If you need only lightning resistances, then t-gods is better

Jantia, RRM stands for Red Rune Mod. It makes all runes appear red, and thus easier to spot in a big pile of drops.

PC on a 40% mf/13% reduce vendor prices Gheed's Fortune. The only two items I am really after at the moment are a HoZ and an ethereal 1h weapon to make an Oath in. Would the Gheed's be able to net me either one?

HoZ > Nice Gheeds > socketables

That eth 1 handed weapon would prolly cost you pgems. A few skillers or several nice uniques with the Gheeds could net you a HoZ

@nex: Not a common tradeble that Templar's Might. I think you're looking to swap for a green sacred armor? Depending on the taker, you'd prolly have to dump a few stuffs into the trade.

@RikerKirk: I'm not too sure bout that bow. It is the perfect bow for a Faith RW, but again not many here in SP have the runes for it. I value socketables at pgems (any amount) and a skiller or two at most.

@wilypueo: AFAIK, Griffon's pwns IKSC. Mainly because LFzon with Griffons pwns IK barb in terms of killing power, popularity. Expect another elite with the IKSC for a mid to high end Griffons.

Since you're RWM/RRM, I would like to bid for it (unless omg wanna be RWM tainted :grin:) Firstly tho, I need some concrete ISO as I am not familiar with your current chars (thus I don't know what items suit them the most).

@asdfgah: The j00l you posted needs some extra ED, at least the high end Realgar and paired with a +max dam to be of any value. +dam j00ls generaly aren't valuable unless paired with "of Fervor" or "Scintillating"

Argh. I should have kept my original stash from before my first tainted trade (with you :smiley: ) separate. Oh well. At least I am running a vanilla char in the SPUMF tourney who is doing nicely. Of course, that stash won't be available until 2007 :rolleyes: Meh, I will prolly add the fine/vita sc to my FT anyway, as well as the bitter circle. But if I cannot get much for the other 2, I'd rather keep em.

I was going to ask him to name his price, but I noticed from his thread that he's RWM tainted.

@wily: The charm by itself isn't quite worth a Griffon's (unless it's absolutely bottom tier, like 10/-15), but should net anything else from your ISO list. I'd say that the charm's the second most valuable thing you have on your FT list (Astreon's by far and away the most valuable, followed by the charm, and then another big drop-off to the Chilling of life/IKSC/Azurewrath, etc.).

Hi guys, what do you think about value of a medicore DW vs Windforce?

Rarest uniques in the game go something like

Tyrael's (by a huge margin)
Death's Web (very very slim lead over the next two)
Mang's (tied for 3rd)
Astreon's (tied for 3rd)

For any monster that can drop everything, those four items are consistently in the top 5 rarest. Generally speaking, I think it's Stormlash that rounds out the top 5 with Hell Baal being the most notable exception (Stormlash doesn't crack the top 20 there because Baal has a horrible TC 87 drop rate).

As for Death's Web vs. Windforce, the market sets the price and judging from what we've seen in the past, a Death's Web will fetch much more than a WF in an auction. If anything, the WF will probably end up as one of over a dozen items going the other way for the Death's Web. I'm speaking from a vanilla/RRM only perspective though, and WF's are pretty common among the few of us who aren't RWM users (which is probably why there's not a lot of non-RWM trading action).

Cold sorcs will prolly be looking for the damage, cos their mastery brings down resis already

Nowhere in particular I think. FWIW, I tend to find good things on the way to the Pit :rolleyes: Just the luck of the draw. I spend about 90% of my time running the Necro--WS K&Baal, Eldritch, Lower Kurast, Pits. Eldritch has dropped me some good stuff. When I get bored, I play another char for a little while. I want to build a sorc for countess runs . . . Fishy is too slow :tongue:

After 5 or 6 tries, I got a plain Burning GC. So should I re-roll or keep? I have already re-rolled a plain Graverobbers and as well as a Lucky of Greed (11MF/40 GF) . . .

I always have far more Baal GC's than pgems to reroll with. Even if Baal GC's are in limited supply, for all practical purposes, there's no reason to reroll an ilvl 99 skiller when you could reroll an ilvl 80-something GC with something like +1% MF. Furthermore, any half-decent plain skiller will still fetch you more than one Baal GC in a trade so instead of rerolling your skiller, trade it for 2-3 crappy Baal GC's and reroll those.

Hrmm.. the only item I'm searching for right now is a griffons, and I'm fairly certain it's not worth that much. I could use a skiller though. Maybe a combat skills for a paladin if it's worth it, or lightning skills for a sorceress?

@Zandak: It varies, the ammy is generally rarer than the armor. Sold as a pair, they might come up to a mighty number of skillers to 1-2 TC87 or so. Pgems wise, I think I got an armor for 99 pgems before.

@Wilypueo: Those mana/life charms are nice! Keep them till someone wants em. IMO valuable charms, 2-3 could net you a nice elite unique.
And your Amber of Vita. 1% of perfect for LR. However, it is no match whatsoever to a decent skiller with +life. IMO it doesnt stand on its own, use it to sweeten a deal.

I browsed through your ISO, seems like most of your ISO aren't of TC87 quality. My guess is most didn't bid cause it would be unfair to your side.
My suggestion: Team up with wilypueo and do a co-auction i.e post your ISO together and offer those 2 GC's as a package. Auction winnings are to be divided according to your agreement.
This is so to avoid competition should both of you make separate threads.

They're no less uncommon than 4os exceptional/elite swords, but I guess people simply don't bother picking them up. It's not that they're worth a lot, they should exchange ownership for a few PGems.

Let me read your mind :fortuneteller:. I guess you're making Spirit for a hammerdin. If you're going max-block and have 136 dex invested, you could have one of my Phase Blades for a few junk jewels. Let me know if you're interested.

If I am not mistaken, their rarity is as follows, with the first being the easiest:

1. Helm (death mask)
2. Orb (swirling crystal)
3. Belt (Mesh Belt)
4. Armor (lacquered plate)
5. Amulet

The helm, orb and belt are all exceptionals, the armor unique. Ammys have their own rules, and you can find one as early as Normal Act II, but don't hold your breath. You should be able to get the first three items easily, either by finding them or in giveaways...they aren't rare enough to have much trade value. The armor and the amulet are both pretty rare, and will cost a lot in trade, probably a TC 87 (as Tracul mentioned) or something equivalent.

While this trading forum sometimes has a funny way of valuing items, I would not trade away a griffon's (if I had one) for anything less than another high-end TC87 or godly charm/jewel.
Or the other way around: If anyone has a nice Griffon's I'd gladly pay 2 SoJs for it.
IMO A Stone of Jordan is still quite valuable and can fetch you a good portion of a nice long ISO list consisting of good exceptional uniques/non-TC87 elites.

About your gloves, I say let Charsi turn #1 and #3 into purses. I'd keep the middle one, because of the combo +20% IAS and +Light res.

If you look at the number of Blizzies farming Pindle/Meph (hint, it's larger than one), I'd say those robes could fetch you a some nice mid-endEUs/Exceptionals.

I think superficial was saying that it's worth whatever gold pieces Charsi will give you for it. :grin: Having triple durability from a failed unique really doesn't add any value to an item. Although that mace has nice leech, it needs about an additional 200% Enhanced Damage to have any significant value (i.e. PGems). If it had the +200% ED and 30-40% IAS, then you'd have something that others would want to trade for.

As for the helm, personally I don't see anything that great about it. However, if that were an artisan's helm of the Whale, or some other +life mod that added 50+ points, you might garner some interest from others.

However, when considering helms and circlets, someone once told me to always ask "how does this compare to a Harlequin Crest? (aka Shako)" Unfortunately, it's an unfair question in almost every case because a Shako has 4 great mods - if you add a socket to a Shako, do the additional 2 sockets on your helm make up for the losses of Shako's four good mods? Not for me, and therefore the helm is stuck for use in a specialty build.


@Cleyus, I think you pretty much need +2/20% to gain much interest for trading - unless it had other really useful mods for a javazon ([dual] leech and/or other resistances than what you received). However, those gloves are still nicer than just about any unique gloves for a javazon, so I'd stash them and hang on incase you ever need to use them.

Edit: Oh yeah, Higlords... I'm guessing ~60 PGems (maybe more in an auction, maybe less in a trade thread), or a useful TC72-75 item.

That's a very nice item. I am not the best at guestimating values, but I'd say it's in the tier below the highest/hardest to get stuff like Griffon's Eye or Astreon's, particularly since yours is only 3 percentage points off perfect. I have a 12 MF/20 LA Wisp and it's one of the few items I don't have any intention of trading.

Zandak, the IK Soul Cage is the hardest IK set item to obtain because it is TC87, which means it's much rarer than the rest and non-Mephable too.

I'd value it at Tal's Armor or a couple (4? 5?) of the following items:
- Mid-end elite uniques.
- High-end exceptional uniques.
- Plain or not-so-good-second modded skillers. Amount depending on skiller type.

I would to this: get an efficient Pindle runner (meteorb, blizz sorc) and whack him ~2000 times. You'll obtain either the IKSC or goods to trade for it.

Short summary of the charm guide:

GC's with ilvl 50 and above can be rerolled into a skiller.
If ilvl = 50, you have the largest skiller chance, but without a second mod possible.
If ivl>50 the chance to roll a skiller is less, but not very much so.
If ilvl>(91?) there is a chance to roll a skiller with of Vita (40+ life), so that's why baal GCs should alway be kept. Even if you don't reroll it yourself, some people with too many PGems will be interested in them.

Sorry to interfere Superficial, but another poor-mans option for that armor would be a Stone armor (and it doesn't require RWM).

I have a similar armor for every time I use a Defiance merc (eth, 13% Superior, but without the improved defence from the eth./socketing-recipe bug) - add in a little more resists, good life leech, and decent weapon, and your merc will tank almost anything and survive.

Superficial: eth archon plate is only good for merc, so its realy not worth putting CoH or fortitude RW in it, stone is best option.

I know 4 socs plus high life armors are relatively valuabe, but I am actually not sure why--is this a PvP thing? What gets socketed in 4 soc/life armors anyway? @wilypueo: 4os + Life... sometimes a PvP thing, but not always. The four sockets provide a bit of flexibility... if you need to hit an IAS breakpoint, you can socket IAS Jewels in it, and get some damage from ED/Max/Min as well. Or you can just dump in dual Max Jewels in it to get more damage output. Or you can dump in four Rainbow Facets as well. Anyway, somebody might want your armor to dump four Sol in it. You might as well keep it.

@cleyus: They definitely have some value, especially considering the useful second mods on 'em. Cannot give a definite value, but I'd ballpark them at decent skiller GC range.

yep, those Shimmering GC's are pretty nice & useful. I'd agree with wilypeo's valuing, with the +17 life one should net you a very nice skiller (maybe one with a useful second mod like FR/W). I expect you may get some offers for that one.

FYI, you can get up to 15% resist all on a GC, so a plain one is effectively equal to 3x 5% SC's (of course, smaller inventory space and any second mods tend to make the SC's more valuable - plus they're a lot harder to trade for, so they're generally more rare).

I have no clue on worth, but I would think that it would be useful to a char (let's just say a Sorc) with little or not res all equip and wants to use Stormshield for 75% Block... Cut down only STR by 4...

Pretty nice IMO... I think any good charm with a Stat 2nd mod is useful to someone who doesn't want to put hard Stat points into their build...

Too bad I'm playin Self found, or else I might give an offer for that one...

If that's what you are looking for, I wouldn't settle for anything less than 38ed/15ias... There again if that's the only thing you are wanting, but if I had a Windforce, I would want more than one jewel IMO...

That's the problem of near perfect items though, several times the price for a slight increase in effectiveness:undecided: . You could probably get quite a few TC87s for a 40/15. Maybe 5 or 6 useful ones if not more? I really don't know, some items are too rare to have a fixed price, it's mainly whatever the seller wants for it.

The ammy's are pretty nice, but I think a Mara's is nicer. As a result, they probably aren't worth more than a decent EU or two (the Pally one with ML might be worth a little more).

The rings with FCR need more +mana/resists/+life, and the ones with Leech need more +AR/resists/+life. Personally, I'd prefer to Manald's or Ravenfrosts to any of those.

I doubt the axe is worth much too (IMO, Butcher's Pupil is better, with lower requirements, and it's pretty easy to find), but I like your idea of a frenzy-barb, or maybe a zealot.


You've got some usable gear, but not really what I would qualify as good trade material (except possibly the ammy's for anyone without a Mara's).

Nice TAR! So the 40/15 could, could get me most of what I am looking for? Say tals armor, ik armor? I am sure i wont find another 40/15, but there are plenty of 30/15's to be found and that extra 10% doesnt really ammount to much.
