Post your HC MF sorc or a similar SC sorc

hey guys,

i just got back into playing D2 and my friends are hooking me up with pretty much everything I need (so basically richness is not a factor). Ive decided to play HCL and am making a meteor/fireball/frozen ball sorc to MF hell meph and maybe do baal runs. im looking to do a max block (stormshield and high DEX), max res, ~200 MF sorc, 63%+ Fast cast rate, and maybe some fast hit recovery too and if you guys can post your sorc's equipment i would appreciate it.

so far im thinking wizspike/stormshield/viper with UM/maras/war travs/shako with UM/two rings and a belt (lol)

I went with a light es sorc... 20es, 20tk, 20nova(yea Im nuts but with my gear I bearly get hit), 20 chain lighting (I dont like to aim), 10 light mastery, 1 warmth, 1 teleport, 15 lighting and as with any es sorc I went all mana... my gear looks like:

+3 light skills orb (imbuned)
+1 shield (lidless)
+1 armor (spirit shroud)
+2 ammy
+3 gc's
30% gold wrap
29% nagel
20% nagel
30% mf boots
3 ptopaz tiara
25% mf gloves
gull dagger on switch
total mf 306% (I know its not much but it helps)
merc:
Holy freeze

4 PTopaz armor
total mf for merc is 474%

full tals set. ptopaz armor/helm. cold facet in orb. lidless. 2xfcr rings with good mods (psn resist/30+life/80+mana/10mf/etc) magefist. treks.

gheeds 35%, 7%mfsc x 10. 6%mfsc x 7.

total mf around 400. perfect resists. fcr = 110. lots of fhr. 1400 life before BO. 900 mana before BO.

holy freeze merc, stealskull, duriels shell (switching to skulders soon) bonehew.

she is an unstoppable rebel force.

I have a Tal's Sorc on HC (BlizzBall, pure vita) and my only problem with the build is that you can't wear TGod's, meaning that in order to be relatively safe from something like lag+Gloams (trust me, it'll happen eventually) you need a decent Wisp Projector, which can get expensive and is kind of a waste of a ring slot. My other Sorc is built like this (lvl 92):

I've done similar builds every ladder season and ES ends up being more of an annoyance than anything due to the relativley low mana pool, especially without the BO from CtA. If you want more MF you could always switch out Treks for Travs and load up on MF charms, but I find the extra MF unnecessary and would rather have the mods from Treks (especially the FHR).

Lightning Sorcs are also quite popular now that the price of 'Infinity' is down. This would probably be the way to go if you prefer to use ES with max TK, but you won't be as effective against Meph/Baal as a Cold Sorc.

interesting how everybody goes full tal's, i used to have a full tal's set but i really thought shako/occy was better...

anyways, another question: for those of you who use an occy, how do you max your res in hell and also break the 63% fast cast rate breakpoint?

everyone doubts the power of Tal Rasha's set until they read that article.

occy looks good on paper, but 25% teleport is a big no-no in HC. unless you like being tele-locked into a room filled with gloams. thats always fun.
