Infinity Charged Boltress viable?

I was reading the infinity nova guide, and was wondering if charged bolt could replace nova as the main killer. Max ES, TK, CB, Lightning, and LM, 1 pt in thunderstorm. How would this compare to the nova build?

Infinity CB sorc is extremely viable. Go for max block and tk + es and you'll be very hard to kill aswell as being able to deal massive damage point-blank.

Uhh I was assuming he meant infinity on his merc, not on his sorc.

well c-bolts are slow... so to be effective u should get up close to the person. or namelock/c-bolts.

but, hammerdin > c-bolts :o

Well, max nova dmg is like 2k holding an infinity. CB can get up to 600x24 (14k) so basically you have 7x the damage potential. Only thing is it's really hard to catch casters with, but stomps most melee. It's rather vulnerable to sorb though when compared to nova. The thing about finity CB though, is that it kills in pvm incredibly well, and doesn't suck out your mana like nova does. An infinity CB sorc can kill diablo in like 0.4 seconds, and kills baal and uber diablo CS zon style, only faster since you have VERY effective static as well.

Sounds viable...Charged Blot for close combat vs. melee and Lightning against casters.

Against groups, yes. Against high hp bosses (act bosses etc) no. CB will absolutely rape with -resist. Maybe even the übers but I won't guarantee that :wink3:

i have a cb infinity sorc and she definatly holds her own in duel games
only chars that give me trouble are
chargers(no shield :( )
wind druids(most sorcs suk anyways)
bvc'ers(hard to tele on top of them without getting raped)
really skilled lightning sorcs
pretty much the rest is ez, except for stupid fc zons

CB actually can rape the ubers, the only problem is that the sorc won't survive them long enough to do so.
