I have a ORB/ES build
i have maxed ord/mastery/cold bolt/and telekenisis
i am working on maxing energy shield:embarassed:
im lvl 86
My gear
29% fathom
17%nightwings
nigma(for the +strenght for spirit)
soj
bk
maras
25% spirit
frostburns
treks
spider
and 9cold gcs
on switch i have 4bo cta/lidless
i am doing 1389-1479 per orb:grin: so dmg is not a problem
and i just want to know the basic strategy that people use for PVP with this type of setup because i want to pvp just need to see how people use this setup and pick and choose how i will use it.

Let me get this straight, you got yourself a PVP sorc with only 45% FCR?
Indeed damage is no prob, but, you're too slow to tele.
ORB/ES doesn't rely on just standing there and blasting Orbs around.
You have to tele to the right positions and try to get your Orb to explode right from the inside of your opponents, or else you won't be doing much damage.
The ES comes in handy when you face desynching chars or get hit every now and then. It's meant to survive a few big blows, but not to take all the pain they can inflict on you.
If I were you, I'd sacrifice about 400 damage to get more mana based items and definately more FCR, or you'll be sitting ducks. Also, try to get a 5% FHR sc, since you'll be hitting the next FHR breakpoint with spirit.
My Orb/ES EQUIP:
Hoto + 34% Spirit (OS CtA + Spirit)
Nightwingveil socketed with Mana gem (until I get better Nightwing and Cold Facet)
Crafted Amulet +2 sorc skills, FCR and some resistances
Chains Of Honor Armor
Frostburns
Dual Stone of Jordan
Arachnid Mesh
Silkweave Boots
6x Cold Skiller
1x Lightning Skiller
1x HellfireTorch
1x Annihilus Small Charm
1x FHR Charm
Lots of Life Sc's and Mana Sc's
My Orb/ES STATS:
Enough Strength (including the equipment) to carry spirit
Base Dexterity and base Vitality
All the rest into Energy
My Orb/ES SKILLS:
20 Ice Bolt
20 Frozen Orb
20 Telekinesis
20 Energy Shield
1 Cold Mastery
1 Shiver Armor
1 Thunderstorm
1 Lightning Mastery
1 in all prereq's
My Orb/ES:
Atm I have around:
1k Orb damage, 1k Tstorm damage, 1.5k Lightning damage, 95% ES, 3.5k mana, 0.5k life, 75% allres, 60% FHR, 110% FCR, 14% Blocking, some replenish life and damage reduction...
My merc: act2 prayer merc wielding Insight, Stone and Gaze.
This is enough to get me through everything PVM, be it any run, quest or boss.
As for PVP, don't try to duel Trapsins (you can survive a few traps, but the Mind Blast can kill you if you get locked twice to three times) and be very carefull among Sorceress's that have 200% FCR.

Aim for 60%FHR, base vitality and 105%FCR, with whatever gear you have access to, that should do it :thumbsup:

For equipments i had:
Nightwings (cold facet)
Fathom (cold facet)
Spirit (34% fcr)
Ormus (cold facet)
Frostie
Arachnid mesh
Rare boots with str and fhr
Dual SOJ
Craft ammy with 2skill 18%fcr 92 mana
Reached 1.6k orb 86fhr 3.6k mana 1k life and have resists all above 50%, 75% lite res.
but still have lots of troubles with aa windy's trappers any kind of sorbers.... personally, i wouldnt chose enigma or coh over ormus, of course the 2skill +str/+res sounded good but ormus have bigger dmg boost, and the 70 odd energy that u get from enigma hardly helps with the mana added. 65res from coh.... well ES sorc dont really need res anyway, so i definitly choose +warmth ormus over them 2.
If you don't have enough FCR, the problem when you're dueling is that you lack mobility to dodge, chase, defend, etc.
