Where to mf as a hammerdin?

hammerdins are suited for pretty much everywhere. i usually do andy/meph/baal in 1 go
but yeah, the easiest is probably the pits...just have to watch out for the archers - esp the multishot extra fast superunique types. i had problems with them when i first started anyway

I'd advise against pindle too unless you have fair PDR and good block

I do the chaos sanctuary. Easy to get to, lots of unique monster packs, and then you get to kill diablo after you clear it. Just make sure you have max fire/cold resist, those mages can do a number on you. I wouldn't worry too much about lighting resist, the stranglers are pretty weak and diablo's lightning hose is bugged when you're touching him.

To mf pindle as a hammerdin you really have to tele straight on top of him so as to be within charge radius, and have a merc - otherwise it hurts a great deal, especially if they mana burn.

Once your resists and such are good, try mfing chaos sanc - it drops as an 85 area, plus 3 superuniques and diablo who drop at tc 84, and the exp is phenomenal, and 2/3 the monsters there take 50% extra from blessed hammer (being undead). Its hard til you get a hang of it, but I think its the best mix all around.

I'd never MF andariel - she's not worth the time. do two meph runs :P

Personally, I gave up on mfing w/ my hammerdin. My sorc seems much better suited to the andy/meph runs. BUT... My hammerdin has helped bring me a good deal of wealth by doing straight key runs. With Nigma for Tele, and even a mediocre amount of hammer damage...(say in the 8K range)you can hit all three key spots in under 5 mins. Nilithak in particular has been VERY good to me... Either sell whole keysets for a pul each, of if you are strong enough(or have trustworthy friends who are) use the keysets to get organs. Remember, you can sell a full organset for a HR. Takes a LOT longer to MF and find items that add up to that in value...

I should've been a bit more specific, but the answers were great. I have a lvl 75 hammerdin that is dirt poor. The places I've tried going to mf has handed me my head on a stick. Should I just mf in nightmare until I get somewhat useable items and resistances?

nightmare meph is a great great place to mf. Also, the first posters were right: do the pits. even with low-end gear, you'll be able to take down the monsters in the pits without much of a problem (remember to have max block w/ holy shield on!)
