help with my hammerdin please?

I just restarted d2 after bout 2 years and decided to go back to hammerdin. It will strictly be for mfing. My question is stat point wise, how does the allocation work. What's max block for it in terms of do I allocate any points into dex? also would an archon plate enigma be the highest defence lowest strength armour to go for it? as of right now i have 50 into strength, base dex, base energy, and bout 300 into vit. any input on how much strength and dex (energy should be left at base right?) to have is greatly appreciated, thanks.

If you've just restarted, I doubt you'll be able to get an archon nigma, but you don't need it; mage enigma is quite enough because you'll need the extra str saved from it

MP enigma is noticably superior to AP for any form of pvm.

Dex to max block will depend on the shield you're using, HOZ has of course the least dex required for maxblock but it does vary significantly and you'll need to plan ahead.

so go wit a mp nigma which only has a 55 strength req. so pump strength until 55...

n i plan on using a hoz, so wut should my final base dex b? the amt required to equip the hoz? how do you calculate max block anyway?

for base dex it depends on how much you will or won't be getting from other equipment. I know that in hell diff, to reach max block w/a HoZ you need Dex to be 130+ after equipment and everything. So it's really a matter of determing a way to reach that within your means(and budget) without sacrificing too many hard points in the process, cause you'll definitely need LOTS of points in VIT to survive. But, either way, as a general rule of thumb, 100 base dex never hurt anybody...=) except maybe sorcs.. lol

haha arite, so base dex should b up to around 100, and strength should be 55 for the mp nigma, everything else life, cool, thnx guyz
