Alright, I only started running the ubers a little while ago and this morning I completed my third run and so far my results have been thus:
11/13 druid
18/17 druid
15/14 druid
I currently have a zon, a sorc, a pally, and I'm thinking about making another zon and a sin. Why can't I get a torch that I can actually use?

Sorry for the whining but since the odds of finding a specific classes torch is 1/7 then the odds of me finding three druid torches in a row is 1/343 or ~0.3 percent. It's like a poison dagger in my heart.

so what... i did 2 runs this weekend and both were necro...
be patient and you eventually will be rewarded...

You only have 3 types of characters with maybe a 4th on the way. The odds of you getting 3 torches you wouldn't find useful are 3/7 * 3/7 * 3/7 = 27/343 or ~ 7.9%. That's not so bad. Maybe you should try a couple different characters.

After getting a 20/20 assassin torch yesterday morning I then got 10/11 and 10/14 druid torches. Pretty much worthless but remember you have a 2/7 chance of getting a sorc or paladin torch that will usually trade for at least Ist. Ist buys 2 organ sets which you could then get high stat torches from.

What realm are you on? I'm on east and ist (or mal, any hr) only buys one organ set, but then even a low pally torch will go for 2 hr+.

Yeah, I agree with the guy who says most torches will only get you an organ set. That is if you can find someone who isnt going to rip you off in a drop trade (good luck).

The problem is there are so many torches now from the successful runners that the value has dropped. People have torches now even if they havent done a single organ run because people are giving away the low ones left and right.

That out of the way, you didn't even support your statement at all. How many of each torch have you gotten in the nearly 50 runs?

I don't believe it. The game mechanics don't know which torch is more desired and therefore which torch to keep rarer, any more than it knows to drop more ko runes at the hellforge than ist runes (both of which have an equal chance of happening), or any more than it knows to drop a spiderweb sash instead of a luna (both of which have an equal chance of happening.)

Furthermore, you never know what a future patch might bring. I'm willing to bet that hammerdins are going to be nerfed severely (remember when bowazons were god?), and that a new godly class will arise. That class might well be a necro or druid.

Europe. Mal = One organ set, Ist = two. Just traded 2 sets plus an extra organ for Ist as well.

I have never done a torch run, yet, but I think the game hates all legit players. I mean, some B.net morons use bots, mh, and buy items with real money all day long and get richer, faster than us. It is just not fair...

If I got an 18/17 torch, I'd be happy. Druids are fun to play, maybe the game is trying to tell you something...? :azn:
